Hillwalker looks a solid favourite in the closer at Gowran Park on Saturday.
The Thomas Cleary trained runner has the benefit of experience which might prove enough against the well backed debutant Long Arm for Ger Lyons who is a half-brother to the trainer’s Who’s Steph.
Hillwalker won his maiden here last June beating Christmas which was pretty good form and after finishing a tailed off (but eased down) last of 14 in the Irish 2,000 Guineas got his game back, to some extent, with a third at Killarney last time out.
He should be spot on now for his second career success.
