GROUP 3 ACTION AT TIPPERARY: SHAMROCK looks ahead to the Group 3 Coolmore Stud Fairy Bridge Stakes at Tipperary (5.55pm) tonight.
Tonight’s feature at Tipperary is the Coolmore Stud Fairy Bridge Stakes at 5.55pm and it would appear to be at the mercy of the three-year-old Skitter Scatter.
Trainer by John Oxx, Skitter Scatter had a fantastic two-year-old season with four wins from seven starts culminating in the Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes at The Curragh.
She was disappointing though on her reappearance this season in the 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket when only beating one home. She looked in need of the race and hasn’t raced since then.
In theory she should be a good thing at this level but the hard question to answer is how short of her best is she?
The market vibes are very positive. She has almost halved in price on BETDAQ since this morning suggesting there is confidence behind her and we also have the 8lb up our sleeve that she has in hand over the rest of the field.
Biggest danger is likely to come from the Dermot Weld trained Titanium Sky who had a great comeback run at Galway when chasing home Surrounding.
