Continuing action from the Chengdu Open in China on Tuesday morning, played on the outdoor hard courts and don’t forget to check out the extensive BETDAQ tennis markets.
There’s a bet for me in the Dusan Lajovic v Juan Ignacio Londero match which is due to start at 6.15am.
The pair have yet to meet but the rankings see the Serbian player Dusan Lajovic rated 28 places higher than Juan Ignacio Londero from Argentina and Lajovic should have the greater experience to come through this first round of 32 encounter.
Lajovic is enjoying a career-best season on the tour – winning a maiden title in Umag where he dropped just one set in the tournament.
Earlier in the year he made the final of the Monte-Carlo Masters before his defeat to Fabio Fognini.
Juan Ignacio Londero is a great counter puncher who is also enjoying a good year but he is generally a better player on clay. However, he was by no means disgraced against a shoulder-injured Djokovic in the US Open, eventually succumbing to a 6-4, 7-6, 6-2 defeat.
A good match in prospect. I’ve set the alarm clock.
