PREMIER LEAGUE SUNDAY: We preview Sunday’s Premier League game between LEICESTER v NEWCASTLE with a recommended BETDAQ bet and extended stats.

LEICESTER V NEWCASTLE

4.30pm We only have one game to enjoy on Sunday in the Premier League as Leicester host Newcastle. Going into Matchday 7 Leicester sat in third position in the table, and given the troubles that Manchester United, Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea are going through – Leicester must have hopes of finishing in the Top Four this season. That might not be realistic but after their start and the struggles of the usual Top Six; there are plenty of teams that can dream. For Newcastle, it appears that they will have another season of fighting for survival and apart from a shock win against Spurs they haven’t really produced much.

The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Leicester 1.56, Newcastle 7.8 and the draw is 4.2. The sides have actually already played this season in the Carabao Cup; we shouldn’t read too much into that given how teams view the League Cup these days but that game ended 1-1 with Newcastle having home advantage. Leicester have been on a different level to Newcastle in the Premier League however, and should get the job done today.

Newcastle may have shocked Spurs away from home but they’ve also lost to Norwich and drawn at home against Watford and Brighton. Leicester have also beaten Spurs and they were unlucky not to get something at Old Trafford against Manchester United. They are scoring goals and grinding out results – we can’t see past a home win here and Leicester look ten ticks too big at 1.56 against this poor Newcastle side.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Leicester to beat Newcastle at 1.56.
