GAVIN CROMWELL: It has been a little bit of a quiet week in terms of winners, but it was always going to be difficult to keep such a good spell of form going. We have still been knocking on the door though and with some nice chances this weekend, fingers crossed we’ll get among the winners again.

Curragh and Navan on Saturday

We have got runners on both the Irish cards on Saturday, with three heading to the Curragh and a further four heading to Navan where Callthebarman looks to have a good chance.

He runs in the Handicap Hurdle (2.20pm) over two miles and should have a decent chance. He has been in good nick at home and has solid claims with (Jonathan) Moore in the saddle.

Atalanta’s Gold also runs in the race. We haven’t seen her on the track in more than a year. She has been working well at home though and we will learn a lot from the race.

Life On Earth will enjoy the step up in trip in the 2m6f Handicap Hurdle (2.55pm) and will appreciate Navan as it’s a big galloping track. Wexford was just a bit too tight for her the last day and she should improve.

Finally at Navan, Lever Du Soleil goes in the 2m4f Beginners Chase (4.05pm). He ran over fence at Galway last time and did well to finish fourth. He certainly has a chance based on the ratings.

Looking at our chance at the Curragh, Sarah Jessica won a moderate contest the last day and deserves her step up in class when she runs in the Mile Apprentice Handicap (3.10pm).

She is in good form at home and we hope she would have an each-way chance. Stablemate Lappet also runs and will enjoy this step up in trip having run over seven furlongs last time.

Espoir Et Bonheur does look up against it though in the EBF Fillies Maiden over a mile (4.55pm). She will qualify for handicaps after this and will be much better off in that company.

Curragh on Sunday

Looking ahead to Sunday, we only have two runners and I wouldn’t be overly confident about either.

Princess Mayson goes in the Nursery Handicap (5.05pm) over one mile but is not very well handicapped. The ground will be fine, but she has been struggling and other looks stronger.

Our final runner of the weekend is Graduate Goddess who steps into this company for the first time in the six furlong Nursery Handicap (5.35pm) but will need to improve to feature.
