Global Equity landed the latest SHAMROCK NAP at a rewarding 100/30 when winning easily at Galway.
What a fantastic weekend of racing ahead and it all starts on Friday. Alongside the Breeders’ Cup action from Santa Anita on Friday (and Saturday) it’s all eyes on Down Royal for Samcro’s debut over fences on Friday and the Champion Chase there on Saturday. Moving onto Sunday and we have the Cork Grand National.
Ahead of that though, they race at Clonmel on Thursday and my NAP comes in the closing handicap hurdle at 4.15.
Robin Gold is taken to follow up on her Thurles win last time out. She looked to score with plenty in hand and it’s no surprise to see her out again quickly under the statutory 5lb penalty rather than wait for the weights to be reassessed.
She’s Made It is one of the most expensive horses to follow in training for punters. Her form figures of 6/80P2/32234-5 include five successive times she has gone off favourite. The saying ‘when she wins, you can afford to miss her out’ springs to mind.
