MATCH POINT: Our tennis tipping column is 62 points up since it started with the next BETDAQ tennis bet in the Denis Shapovalov v Rafael Nadal semi-final of the Paris Masters on Saturday.
A setback for the column in the European Open where Stan Wawrinka threw away his lead and was beaten by a resurgent Andy Murray in Antwerp.
A loss of eight points on that match but the profit on the column still stands at 62.87 points so hopefully no more than a blip.
As always, plenty of BETDAQ tennis markets to be explored and the match that appeals most is Denis Shapovalov v Rafael Nadal in the semi-final of the Paris Masters at 3.30pm.
Nadal currently ranked #2 in the world takes on the much younger Denis Shapovalov who is an emerging talent from Israel.
The two have only met twice before and it’s one apiece with Shapovalov winning on a hard court surface in Canada and Nadal then overpowering him quite easily on his favoured clay surface in Rome.
The indoor hard court surface will be a new challenge between the pair.
Shapovalov has ridden his luck well to get this far. He had a gift in the opening round when Giles Simon retired injured after just four games and then in the next round he lost the opening set to Fabio Fognini before battling back.
Nadal has never won this tournament – he was a finalist in 2007 – but whatever happens here will not prevent him being promoted to world number #1 replacing Djokovic.
Incredibly, this is the Spaniard’s 10th connective semi-final and he bids for a sixth final of the season.
Whilst Shapovalov is playing more consistent tennis since the arrival of new coach Mikhail Youzhny – he will need everything to go right here and it’s hard to see anything other than a straight sets win for Nadal at around 1.57 on the BETDAQ Sportsbook.
