PREMIER LEAGUE MONDAY: We preview Monday’s Premier League clash between CRYSTAL PALACE v BRIGHTON with a recommended BETDAQ bet and extended match stats.
CRYSTAL PALACE V BRIGHTON
7.45pm Monday Night Football comes from Selhurst Park this week as Crystal Palace host Brighton. There isn’t much between these sides at all in the Premier League table, with Palace three points ahead of Brighton. Palace have been rock solid at the back this season and that has been the foundation for them. Only Leicester have kept more clean sheets than Palace this season. The problem with that though is there attack hasn’t been as strong, and scoring goals continues to be a problem. We expect a close game.
The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Crystal Palace 2.66, Brighton 3.0 and the draw is 3.35. It’s not a surprise to see such an open market. Brighton are a much improved side this season compared to last, and they have played some really good football at times this season. They’ve had a tough run of fixtures – they had to play Manchester United, Leicester, Liverpool and Arsenal in a row, but they did pick up a win against Arsenal and that came away from home too.
It is a worry that Crystal Palace weren’t able to beat Watford last weekend, and it’s a bigger worry that only Watford have failed to score in more games than Palace this season. Goals has been a real problem for Palace, and with Brighton playing some good football and scoring goals – we can see Brighton outscoring Palace tonight. The 3.0 on an away win looks cracking value, and under 2.5 is definitely worth considering at around 1.8 too.
