PREMIER LEAGUE SUNDAY: We preview Sunday’s Premier League games between BOURNEMOUTH v WATFORD and ASTON VILLA v MAN CITY with a recommended BETDAQ bet and extended match stats.
BOURNEMOUTH V WATFORD
2pm It’s a massive day at the bottom of the Premier League with the 17th, 18th and 19th placed teams all in action. Aston Villa will more than likely lose against Manchester City later, so that makes this fixture huge. A win here for either side would see them leave the bottom three. That would be a massive achievement for Watford who looked very likely to go down only a few weeks ago.
The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Bournemouth 2.72, Watford 2.86 and the draw is 3.45. It’s not a surprise to see such an open market between these two sides – we should have a very close affair here. They’ve actually drawn in seven of their nine Premier League matches which is remarkable. Bournemouth had a confidence boosting 4-0 win over Luton in the FA Cup last weekend but Watford come here in great form. Since losing to Liverpool they have beaten Manchester United, Aston Villa and Wolves while also drawing away to Sheffield United. They might be the away side here, but we fancy them to get a result and we’re very happy to lay Bournemouth at 2.72. We make Watford shorter than Bournemouth here given the recent form of both sides.

ASTON VILLA V MANCHESTER CITY
4.30pm With Bournemouth and Watford playing today, it’s highly likely if we see a winner there that Villa will end the weekend in the bottom three. Manchester City have had some odd results this season but it’s hard to see them slipping up against this Villa side. Villa are definitely more comfortable at home compared to away but City should really outclass them. They did a number on Manchester United midweek in the Cup and we can see a similar outcome today.
The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Aston Villa 19.5, Manchester City 1.17 and the draw is 9.6. Villa haven’t been in the Premier League for a while, but they always had a terrible record against City. What might give Villa a little hope though is City have been conceding plenty of goals away from home this season – they have conceded 14 goals in 10 games. It’s more than likely though that Villa will try to get 11 men behind the ball here and hopefully get a draw. We can see City winning, but Villa keeping the scoreline respectable. With that in mind, Any Other Away Win (Manchester City to score four or more goals and win) looks very short at 2.6 in the Correct Score market and we’re happy to lay those odds.
