DORTMUND V BAYERN MUNICH
5.30pm What a massive night in the Bundesliga title race. If Dortmund win they are only one point behind and everything is to play for, if Bayern win they are seven points clear and that’s the league more than likely over. It doesn’t get much bigger and it’s a real shame that it’s in front of an empty stadium – it’s games like this that we want to see the atmosphere! Dortmund once again outperformed their xG at the weekend when beating Wolfsburg 2-0. Dortmund have scored nearly 25 goals over their xG this season. One assumes that can’t continue but the question is when it stops given they keep doing it.
Bayern scored five at the weekend against Eintracht Frankfurt and they are the best attacking team in the Bundesliga with an xG of over 3 per game. Looking at the goal markets, we can definitely say that goals are priced in. Over 2.5 goals is 1.41 while BTTS is 1.4. I can’t argue with those prices. Dortmund keep over-performing but the data says that Bayern are way better and they look huge at 1.93. We were unlucky on Sunday with a max bet on Koln as they drew 2-2 but had an xG of nearly 3 while Fortuna Dusseldorf only had an xG of 0.29! Hopefully we don’t get so unlucky here because this Bayern price is worth a max bet – all my data points to a comfortable win for the league leaders here.

BAYER LEVERKUSEN V WOLFSBURG
7.30pm While all eyes will be on Dortmund v Bayern Munich earlier, it’s nice to be able to enjoy two games on a Tuesday evening. Bayern Leverkusen v Wolfsburg should be very interesting and it should be an excellent game to watch. Bayer are currently 4th with Wolfsburg 6th and pushing for a Europa League spot. Leverkusen are having a very solid season and they are scoring more than 2 goals at home while their average home game is showing more than 3 goals.
Wolfsburg are also showing very good goal stats. Their average away game has close to 3 goals while they are over-performing their xG away from home at the moment but not by a whole lot. Bayer are usually involved in entertaining games and I’m surprised to see BTTS so high at 1.6. Both teams should suit each other here and I can see plenty of chances in a very good game.
