Sceptical continues to improve and must be one of the best buys in recent times. He converted his all-weather form to the turf when winning the Listed Woodlands Stakes at Naas in fine style by three lengths.

The frantic catch-up continues today at Leopardstown with the Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial Stakes at 2.00 with just five runners now and hard to pick between the Aidan O’Brien trio.
The Fillies Trial Stakes later in the card also looks tricky and the best bet may come later in the afternoon with Aidan O’Brien’s Year Of The Tiger in the Listed seven furlong event at 3.00.
It’s not a great quality renewal, coming so close to the 2000 Guineas and Year Of Tiger should take prime advantage given he has plenty in hand on official ratings and rounded off last season with a highly creditable third at 16/1 in the Futurity won by Kameko – and he’s turned out ok 😉
