MATCH OVERVIEW:
It’s was fantastic to start with two winners from two bets yesterday involving these two teams, making a good start with a 4.26 point profit. Now they both meet on Wednesday night. You could see by the conditions yesterday that spin is going to play a big part in the tournament this season and with neither side winning yesterday, both need a good performance today.
St Kitts were undone by some Rashid Khan brilliance and they will be glad they don’t have to face him here! I have to say I was more impressed with St Kitts on day one and I’m surprised to see Guyana as short as 1.69. St Kitts started very well with the ball, but unfortunately let it slip but as I noted in the preview, Barbados do have a good tail.
It looks like it will be reasonably tough for batting throughout the tournament and Guyana got to bat first yesterday. They set Trinbago 145 runs to win and even though they did make an early breakthrough, Trinbago chased it down pretty easily. Guyana were excellent last season, but they need to improve their performance based on yesterday.
WEATHER AND PITCH WATCH:
The first game yesterday was effected by weather but the night game was clear for a full 20 overs. As I said above, spin looks like it will play a huge part and you’d have to assume conditions will be tough for batting again.
St Kitts were unable to chase down 153 last night, but Barbados do have Rashid Khan. I thought yesterday that 165 would be around par but having seen two games now I would be happy to bring that down to 160. I still feel without good spinners that 155 or thereabouts should be chased down but it looks like teams will have to start fast and hope to see off the middle overs without losing too many wickets to the spinners, before forming an attack at the death. Easier said than done!
RECOMMENDED BET:
I’m happy to back St Kitts here at 2.42. I see that as a good value price after seeing the games yesterday. I know Guyana have Tahir to cause damage but St Kitts bowled better than I expected yesterday and I feel that the Guyana batting line-up is there for the taking. It certainly isn’t as good as it was last season when they won 11 in a row.
From a value point of view, I can certainly see St Kitts making 2.42 look too big. And perhaps they might not get over the line, but I can definitely see it as a good starting point to trading. As an outright bet though, it’s worth taking at the odds.
The Edge Says:
One point win St Kitts & Nevis Patriots to beat Guyana Amazon Warriors at 2.42 with BETDAQ Exchange.

IN-RUNNING STRATEGY:
Early wickets seems to be a good strategy for trading looking at the first two games, and it will definitely be tricky chasing again. Tahir is a massive player for Guyana and although he took two wickets in the opening game, he did go for 40 runs. That’s a hell of a lot of runs to give away and there might be good opportunities to trade against him. He can be brilliant of course, but the market will favour him taking a wicket and if he goes for runs you’ll get a lot of ticks.
St Kitts started really well and gave it away a little in the middle. You would probably expect that looking at their bowling and again, that’s another trading opportunity, however Guyana’s batting isn’t as strong as Barbados so it might not follow as the first game did.
