Oddstracker – Comparing PSG and Bayern Munich’s odds to win the Champions League throughout the season
As PSG and Bayern Munich prepare to face off for Champions League glory in Lisbon on Sunday evening, at BETDAQ we’ve trailed each team’s respective paths to the final, which given the number of unexpected results this season, makes for interesting reading.
Both PSG and Bayern started the campaign as genuine contenders for the trophy at 11.0, with many earmarking the attacking talents of both as key factors in determining the 2019/20 European champions.
Such attacking prowess came quickly to the fore as PSG stunned 13-time winners Real Madrid 3-0 in mid-September, while Bayern were even more impressive when dispatching Tottenham 7-2.
Those commanding wins saw both sides’ odds cut to 9.0 as they topped Group A and B respectively, with neither club losing a game.
Another convincing away victory in England, this time against Chelsea (3-0), saw Bayern’s price shorten further to 6.5, but it was a different story for the Parisians who, after losing 2-1 to Borussia Dortmund in the last-16 first leg, drifted right out to 11.0.
However, their fans shouldn’t have worried as their side put in a great performance to beat the Germans 2-0, advancing them to the last eight.
Despite both being 4.0 chances after the last eight, the two clubs couldn’t have progressed in more contrasting fashion with Bayern knocking Barcelona out 8-2, while PSG needed two injury time goals to get past Atalanta.
Bayern’s thumping win saw them cut to 2.4 and set them up with a date with Lyon in the semis.
Unlike the previous round, PSG broke little sweat in getting past RB Leipzig 3-0.
Likewise, Bayern beat Lyon with a minimum of fuss to advance to the final for which they are 1.57 with BETDAQ to lift the trophy.
Their French opponents are the slight outsiders at 2.25 as they seek a first win of the prestigious European prize.
