DOUBLE GROUP 3 ACTION: Big day of racing at the Curragh with the Irish Cambridgeshire and two Group 3 races on the card but it will be tough going – it’s heavy on the straight course.
Testing conditions at the Curragh this afternoon for their eight race card which includes the Irish Cambridgeshire and two Group 3 races.
In the second Group 3 race DAQMAN is keen on Coill Avon to follow up his course and distance success and I’m not going to put you off that one. Good luck to DAQMAN who bids for a fourth winning nap in a row today.
For my NAP I’ll stick with the Jessie Harrington trained Albigna in the Group 3 Snow Fairy Fillies Stakes at 3.10pm.
She was a beaten favourite here in the 1,000 Guineas back in June but the ground went against her – a fact reported by jockey Shane Foley after the race.
Down two notches in grade she should make amends in this company on ground which she relished when winning the Group 1 Prix Marcel Boussac at Longchamp last October.
Thundering Nights also gets a tick in the ground box but this will be a lot tougher than what she faced when winning at Leopardstown last time out.
