NAVAN NAP: SHAMROCK heads to Navan on Thursday for his recommended NAP running in the 3.50.
BETDAQ, the global betting exchange, has announced that it will be going commission-free across all sports on Saturday. In what is one of the biggest days in the sporting calendar, ‘Super Saturday’ will see the start of the new Premier League season as well as top-class horse racing from both sides of the Irish sea, with the final Classic of the season, the St Leger, taking centre stage at Doncaster, and showstopping Group 1 action at Leopardstown.Baron Samedi is taken to land the NAP in the 10 furlong handicap at Navan (3.50pm) this afternoon.
The Joseph O’Brien trained runner is on for the hat-trick after wins at Cork and a demolition job at Down Royal last time out where he won by an eased down by 13 lengths.
It’s no surprise to see the trainer get him out again quickly as he will be racing off a 13lb higher mark in the future.
The caveat is the ground. It’s quicker today and that’s still a question mark for him but he has so much in hand on the figures it’s a chance I’m willing to take.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Baron Samedi (3.50 Navan)
