BUNDESLIGA / LA LIGA PREVIEW: Our European football tipster The Ultra previews Friday’s games between WERDER BREMEN v EINTRACHT FRANKFURT and LEVANTE v ATHLETIC BILBAO both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
WERDER BREMEN V EINTRACHT FRANKFURT
7.30pm The weeks are flying along and after a busy midweek of Champions League and Europa League action, Friday night football comes around fast again with two games from the Bundesliga and La Liga. We start in the Bundesliga with Werder Bremen taking on Eintracht Frankfurt. Werder Bremen aren’t having a good season as they are just six points away from the relegation zone – they are far enough away and have enough quality to not worry about going down, but they just haven’t been playing good football this season. I feel tonight is an excellent opportunity to back an in-form Eintracht Frankfurt side to collect three points.
Eintracht Frankfurt look overpriced at 1.87 on BETDAQ Betting Exchange given the season they are having. They are competing again towards the top of the table, and while they might not be as good as the likes of Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig over the course of the season, they did manage a 2-1 win over Bayern last weekend. They come into this game in top form and have been creating a host of chances recently. This is ideal when you consider how many chances Werder Bremen have been giving away – but I also feel more confident in the Frankfurt win looking at how little Werder Bremen have been creating in front of goal. I think everything points to a Frankfurt win here and with them in flying form against a very average side, I feel the 1.87 is worth a Max Bet.

LEVANTE V ATHLETIC BILBAO
8pm We move over to La Liga to finish the evening as Levante host Athletic Bilbao. There’s only two points between these two in mid-table and we should have a very close game. Levante have put massive pressure on Atletico Madrid at the top of the table with a draw and win against them in their last two games. It’s very unusual to have domestic league fixtures back-to-back but Levante took full advantage. If you look at the xG figures, they were actually very lucky to beat Atletico 2-0 last weekend with Atletico creating an xG of 2.84! Bilbao were very unlucky too last weekend as they had to settle for a 1-1 draw in a game that finished 2.56 to 0.07 to them on xG!
While there isn’t much between the sides on first glance and looking at the table, I like Bilbao here at 2.44. Looking at the under-lining numbers they come into the game in much better form. Levante might catch the headlines with a 2-0 win over Atletico, but you can see looking at xG they didn’t deserve it and Bilbao have been creating some excellent chances recently. The two sides actually met very recently in a 1-1 draw, but I feel the 2.44 offers nice value on the Bilbao win and it’s too big to ignore.
