MONDAY SERIE A: The Ultra previews Monday’s SASSUOLO v JUVENTUS clash including a recommended BETDAQ bet.
SASSUOLO V JUVENTUS
7.45pm We have a massive week ahead in Europe with the start of the Champions League and Europa League Semi-Finals, but we kick the week off on BETDAQ Betting Exchange with Sassuolo hosting Juventus in Serie A. It was a good weekend for Juventus, and they have even played yet. Inter Milan beat Roma who sit just behind Juventus meaning they start this game with a five point cushion and also Napoli suffered another surprise loss on Sunday meaning that Juventus could actually end up finishing third.
After a terrible start to the season when it looked like they might not even have Champions League football next season, they look certain for the top four after the results at the weekend and they have the momentum to finish third now. It’s a shame for Napoli who have been brilliant this season, but those losses just came at the wrong time – they can only blame themselves though, they were 2-0 up on Sunday with ten minutes to go!
Sassuolo are your average mid-table Serie A side, and Juventus should really be winning here. I’m sure the away win will be a very popular selection at around 1.86 tonight! Although there are a few things to consider before you go jumping in. Sassuolo managed to beat Juventus 2-1 earlier in the season, but that obviously at a very bad time for Juventus so I wouldn’t read too much into it – perhaps a more worrying stats from a backing Juventus point of view is that Sassuolo have won their last three games here, and drawn the one before that. You actually have to go back to January to find a losing home game in Serie A!
They have had an easy fixture list either, they have played Roma, Fiorentina and Atalanta in those games. They rode their luck of course, because they conceded a higher xG figure against all three of those sides in the top eight (Atalanta are going backwards very quickly!) but you have to give credit to Sassuolo because they grinded out results. They are going to grind out this game too, and Juventus will have to work very hard. The Bologna draw last weekend has to be another worrying for backing Juventus, but they did finish the game with an xG of 2.21 and were unlucky not to win.
In general Juventus have been playing some nice football and they have been scoring goals too. As I said, they were unlucky against Bologna and they were also very unlucky to lose to Inter Milan too – they lost 1-0 but finished with an xG of 1.93, nearly double what Inter created. I wouldn’t put anyone off the Juventus back at 1.86, but I’d want a bigger price to get involved. I can see a very tense and cagey game here with Sassuolo being quite negative. As I said, Juventus will have to work very hard to win here and I much prefer under 2.5 goals at 2.33 compared to the Juventus price. I can see a very close game here.
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Under 2.5 goals at 2.33 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
