PREVIEW
Real Madrid effectively sewed up the La Liga title on Saturday evening with an impressive victory at the Nou Camp. Jose Mourinho will be hoping that the 2-1 win against Barcelona will give them the impetuous needed to turn around the Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich.

At 1-1 Mourinho seemed content to hold out for the draw at the Allianz Arena and take that precious away goal back to Spain, before Mario Gomez had other ideas. His late winner means that Real have it all to do, but their record against the Germans suggests it’s by no means impossible. Real have thrived at home in Europe, winning ten of their last 11 home games in the competition.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s winner on the weekend took Real’s league total to 109 for the season and they’ve also managed 22 in five home European fixtures.

In contrast to Real, Bayern will go another Bundesliga season without the title as Borussia Dortmund followed up last year’s success with a 2-0 win. The last time Bayern were at the Bernabeu they were beaten by Mourinho’s Inter Milan in the 2010 Champions League final.

With an eight point lead in La Liga, Mourinho can put all his focus into landing a double for Madrid and their current European home form suggests that they can get the job done. My advice would be to back Real to reach the final at 1.69 on BETDAQ.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back Real Madrid to qualify at around 1.69: 5 points

Tuesday’s Return: +6 points

APRIL RETURN TO DATE: -29.76
