MATCH OVERVIEW:
This series just keeps on giving! We had another dramatic finale on Wednesday in Lahore, and once again it was Pakistan came out on top. They have taken a 3-2 series lead now, and England have to win on Friday to keep the series alive. Once again, we should have another cracking game on BETDAQ Betting Exchange! We’re heading into this game with the sides pretty much 50/50 in the market, and you have to say that’s a fair reflection based on what we have seen! There really isn’t much between the sides, and we should have another ding-dong battle.
Despite posting another under par total, you have to hand it to the Pakistan bowlers. They just keep on bailing the batters out time and time again. Once again, really and truly Wednesday was a game that England should have won. Although it was a superb innings from Moeen Ali, it was a shame he couldn’t lead them home. He finish not out at the end, and perhaps you could say he could have got them over the line but on balance he played superbly. He had a lot to do in the last over and it just wasn’t to be. Pakistan kept their nerve and bowled well – credit to them.
From a tactical point of view, I don’t see either side changing their views here. England shouldn’t really change anything – as I said they have looked the better side; of course that sounds silly with Pakistan leading, but England have thrown away two winning positions. Pakistan don’t bat with the same attacking style as England, and that will cost them heading into the World Cup. Their bowlers can’t keep bailing them out, however talented they might be! Once again we have another fascinating game ahead, and there shouldn’t be much between them again.
WEATHER AND PITCH WATCH:
I have to say I was expecting more runs in the last T20. The Pakistan Super League was very high scoring here, and given the lack of International action that was the only real guide we had to go off. You could say that Pakistan were under par again, but England failed to chase it down so the reality is that we’ll have to keep an open mind on the scoring here. I’m not sure how much the PSL stats are worth, but there wasn’t a huge bias between batting or bowling first. I felt it would be best to bat first because the scoring was so high you’d have a lot of pressure on the chasing side, but then again we saw a low scoring game Wednesday!
RECOMMENDED BET:
We shouldn’t have another very close game here, and there really isn’t much between the sides. It has been very interesting to see how the odds have moved throughout this series – we started with Pakistan heavy favourites and now here we are with the sides pretty much level in the market. My opinion hasn’t really changed that much throughout the series – I don’t think there’s much between the sides at all with England having a slight edge just because their batting is a little bit more attacking than Pakistan’s, plus England have a better middle order. The reason Pakistan start so slow is the top order basically doesn’t trust the middle to low order! I’m happy with a small position on England again.

IN-RUNNING STRATEGY:
Some games the best in-running trading plan is no plan at all. I went into the first T20 game here on Wednesday expecting a high scoring game and conditions to favour the batters, but that turned out to be wrong. With a lower than expected score in that game, I’m going into this game with a completely open mind. I feel the best option is to get against the Pakistan middle to low order here, and possibly support the England middle order but let’s see do batting conditions improve before committing to that trade.
