CARABAO CUP: The Striker looks ahead to the Carabao Cup semi-final between MANCHESTER UNITED v NOTTINGHAM FOREST with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
MANCHESTER UNITED V NOTTINGHAM FOREST
8pm The Carabao Cup Semi-Finals continue on BETDAQ Betting Exchange on Wednesday as Manchester United host Nottingham Forest. Manchester United effectively put this tie to bed in the first leg when winning 3-0 away from home, and it would be a huge shock – possibly one of the biggest football shocks odds wise – if Manchester United didn’t make it to the Final. That’s not to say we won’t have an interesting market in the 90 minutes market!
There’s obviously a huge gulf in class between the sides here, and Manchester United come into the game as the heavy odds on favourites. They are trading 1.43 at the time of writing, and it will be interesting to what XI ten Hag names here. He has taken the approach of naming a strong XI for all their games this season, but given they won the first leg 3-0 he might take the chance to rest some of his key players here. They’ve had a busy fixture list, and are still going strong in the FA Cup after winning at the weekend.
From a trading point of view, I’d watch the market closely when the team news breaks on Twitter – we could easily see a little drift on United before kick off. The market could be expecting a reasonably strong United XI given hen Tag’s comments, but as I said this is an ideal fixture to rest players. This sides met here on the 27th of December in the Premier League when the season re-started after the World Cup, and United ran out very easy 3-0 winners again that day.
I’m going into this game expecting a United win, but I am worried about what XI ten Hag names so I’m going to stay away from the match odds market here. I feel it would be best to look at that market when we see the team news. Nottingham Forest can’t afford to sit back here, they have to attack from the whistle and that should make it an entertaining game. Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.8 and that will be a popular selection – especially given how many goals Untied have been scoring lately.
Forest have been on a superb run in the Premier League lately – they’ve beaten Southampton Leicester, and then also got points against Chelsea and away against Bournemouth. They have jumped up the Premier League table, and they’ve given themselves a great chance at staying up too! They have nothing to lose here, so they might as well go for it. I’d expect an open game, and it’s hard to look past Over 2.5 goals at 1.8 but this is a game to keep stakes reasonably low given the first leg score.
The Striker Says:
Two points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.8 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
