REPUBLIC OF IRELAND V FRANCE

7.45pm It’s a new week at the Euro 2024 Qualifiers on BETDAQ Betting Exchange, and we kick things off with the Republic of Ireland hosting France. Ireland get their qualifying campaign under way in an exceptionally difficult Group B. France opened their campaign with a very impressive 4-0 win over the Netherlands, and you have to wonder if they are putting four goals past a side like the Netherlands – what are they going to do to Ireland?

Ireland have been given a very difficult Group because Greece will likely take the third spot meaning Ireland miss out on a playoff spot, and they don’t have anything to fall back on from the Nations League either. With France and Netherlands so strong, you’d assume the games between Greece and Ireland will decide who finishes third – and it’s now very likely we see France top the Group after their opening result with the Netherlands second.

I feel anything against France and the Netherlands will be a bonus for Ireland and Greece. Ireland usually sit back and play on the counter attack against the bigger sides. They could also pick up a 0-0 draw, but it would be a major shock if we saw anything bar a French win here. The best outcome for Ireland is a 0-0 in my opinion – but they conceded two goals against Latvia here warming up for this game last week. France come into the game as the heavy favourites, currently trading 1.42 at the time of writing and they’ll be fully expected to win here.

The market is unsure how many goals to expect with the Under/Over 2.5 goals market very close to 2.0 on either side of the book. I feel if Over 2.5 goals lands all the work is going to come from France. There really is a huge gulf in class between the sides here – I know Ireland have had some good performances over the years, but the squad has looked pretty thin on quality for a while now. They have struggled against average sides, and they’ll really struggle against France in my opinion. I feel they’ll sit back and play for a 0-0, so I like Both Teams Not To Score at 1.7. France can keep a clean sheet on their way to a comfortable win.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Both Teams Not To Score at 1.7 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
