SUNDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews Sunday’s games between UNION BERLIN v RB LEIPZIG, ATLETICO MADRID v SEVILLA and OSASUNA v BARCELONA all with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
UNION BERLIN V RB LEIPZIG
4.30pm We have some huge clashes around Europe on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE this Sunday! We have two cracking fixtures in La Liga later, but we kick off the day in the Bundesliga as Union Berlin host RB Leipzig. We have a reasonably open market for this East German Derby, but I was surprised to see RB Leipzig trading as short as 2.34 when I clicked into the market. I felt the market would be more open! Union Berlin are trading 3.35 while the draw is 3.55 at the time of writing. Union Berlin are unbeaten in 24 home Bundesliga games coming into this clash which is a club record. They were only four points behind RB Leipzig last season, managing to get Champions League football too. Although they don’t create as many chances as the other top sides in the Bundesliga, they are absolutely rock solid at the back, especially at home, and I was surprised to see RB Leipzig as short as 2.34. It’s going to be hard to get away from the lay.
Union Berlin also have a good recent record against RB Leipzig. They have won five of the last six meetings between the sides. The only other bet on my radar here is Over 2.5 goals at 1.96 which looks cracking value. I know Union aren’t the most attacking side in the Bundesliga, and because they have had success with their cagey tactics they are hardly going to change. However, when these two meet we usually see goals. 11 of the 13 meetings between the sides has finished with Over 2.5 goals, and the last six meetings have had Over 2.5 goals too. From the 13 meetings, we’ve actually had one draw and six wins each! RB Leipzig started their season with a loss against Bayer Leverkusen away from home, while they hammered Stuttgart last weekend. Union started this weekend sitting top with two wins from two, and although I couldn’t put anyone off the Over 2.5 goals bet I really like the RB Leipzig lay here at 2.34. Union are exceptionally difficult to beat at home and the 2.34 is far too short in my opinion.
The Ultra Says:
Four points lay (liability) RB Leipzig to beat Union Berlin at 2.34 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

ATLETICO MADRID V SEVILLA
5.30pm We move to La Liga next as Atletico Madrid host Sevilla. We had the Champions League draw this week and Sevilla were involved due to winning the Europa League, but they had a horrible season in La Liga last season and their fans must be fearing the worst again this year after seeing them lose their opening three games. They started this weekend sitting rock bottom of the table, and although they are far too good to go down you’d already be massively worried about them actually getting back into the top four. They actually got a decent Group in the Champions League; Arsenal, PSV and Lens might actually see them get to the Last 16. They’ll have to play like a different side in Europe again though! They have lost to Valencia, Alaves and Girona already this season so it’s not like they have had a difficult fixture list. Girona finished in tenth last season but Valencia were involved in the relegation battle while Alaves came up from the Segunda. Sevilla fans must be tearing their hair out at this domestic form. They have been a hard team to watch at home too. Two of their losses have come at home, and they had a terrible record at home last season too – they finished in the bottom three on the home form table.
Atletico Madrid made the headlines last weekend with a 7-0 win over Rayo Vallecano. There’s nothing else to call that only very impressive, and although they have dropped points already this season with a 0-0 draw at Real Betis there have been signs that they could get into the title race again. They can’t afford to drop points in fixtures like this if that is to be the case, and they come into this trading as the odds on favourites. The home win is 1.51, Sevilla 7.6 and the draw is 4.8. Gone are the days when this used to be a top four clash! Atletico won this fixture 6-1 last season, but usually we see a very tight affair between these two. Just 44% of their meetings have had Over 2.5 goals – a lot of punters might like Under 2.5 goals at 2.06 here, but Sevilla are a difficult side now. They just haven’t been good enough this season and conceded plenty of chances in their away game this season. I can’t see past the Atletico win here.
The Ultra Says:
Three points win Atletico Madrid to beat Sevilla at 1.51 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

OSASUNA V BARCELONA
8pm We stay in La Liga to finish a cracking Sunday as Osasuna host Barcelona. I’m sure there will be some big opinions either side of the book here on the Barcelona price at 1.68. Osasuna are 5.5 and the draw is 4.3 at the time of writing. Barcelona started off their season with a disappointing 0-0 draw against Getafe that was very ill-tempered with two red cards, however they have won their two games since. They were kind of all over the place at times away to Villarreal in their 4-3 win there, but their attacking got them out of jail. It will be interesting to see how many chances Osasuna can create against them – away form is probably slightly more important for Barcelona this season as the Camp Nou undergoes renovations. Barcelona have a good record against Osasuna – they’ve won five of the last four meetings but in fairness to Osasuna when they have had home advantage recently they have been keeping the score line respectable. We generally see goals when the sides meet too – 68% of the meetings between the sides have had Over 2.5 goals win. That’s trading 1.84 at the time of writing.
Osasuna were reasonably entertaining to watch last season – they created exactly what they conceded but the figure was 1.5 so we had chances at both ends of the pitch! Barcelona were one of the best sides going forward in Europe last season, so we should have an entertaining game here. I couldn’t put anyone off Barcelona at 1.68 because I feel they will get the job done, however Over 2.5 goals jumps off the page here at 1.84. Barcelona were poor at the back against Villarreal and if they play to a similar level then I can definitely see Osasuna scoring at some stage. Both Teams To Score is trading a few ticks bigger at 1.88 and although that is appealing too, I prefer the Over 2.5 goals option just in case Barcelona run riot in front of goal which we all know they are capable of doing too. We should have a very entertaining end-to-end game here with plenty of chances, and I’d be surprised if we didn’t see goals.
The Ultra Says:
Three points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.84 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
