India v Bangladesh 3rd T20

MATCH OVERVIEW:

We have the 3rd T20 between India and Bangladesh on BETDAQ Betting Exchange as the sides finish the tour in Hyderabad. With the series already in the bag for India, we might see some rotation here but to be honest this was already a second Indian XI with New Zealand arriving very close to the end of this tour. This game will finish Saturday, and then on Wednesday the 1st Test against New Zealand begins. Only really England and India have a schedule like that; it’s bonkers but they make it work.

It really feels like Bangladesh are a beaten side at the moment. They have been very poor in the two T20; probably still feeling the effects of that embarrassing collapse in the 2nd Test when it looked certain the weather would force a draw, only for India to come roaring with the bat and ball. They did have India 41/3 inside six overs this week, but still ended up conceding 221/9. Such is the strength and depth of the Indian batting, you are never really safe! Bangladesh collapsed for 135/9 in reply and following on from their 127 all out in the 1st T20 they couldn’t really be in a worse place coming into this final game to be honest.

From an Indian point of view, they just need to keep doing what they have been doing. These young attacking Indian players won’t stop playing their shots anyway – it’s the only way they know growing up with the IPL. Bangladesh need something good to happen desperately; I’m not sure it happens here!

WEATHER AND PITCH WATCH:

We finish the series in Hyderabad, and much like Delhi, this was an exceptionally high scoring venue in the IPL this year. We saw first inning scores of 277/3 (won), 165/5 (chased), 206/7 (won), 201/3 (won), 164/5 (chased in 9.4 overs!) and 214/5 (chased). Once again, we have the issue where we could see a range of scores depending on who bats first – you’d be confident that India go past 200 if they bat first but not so with Bangladesh. We’ve only actually had two International T20’s here; the last one was in 2022 when Australia scored 186/7 and India chased it down.

RECOMMENDED BET:

Once again, the market is very confident on an Indian win here. They come into the game as the red-hot favourites at 1.16 and who could blame the market to be honest. Bangladesh have looked massively wide of the level required for an upset here. I have the same opinion here as I did in the 2nd T20 – there’s no prizes for tipping a 1.16 shot but I do feel India would be worth backing again if they hit 1.25 in-running. They lost early wickets in the last game, so maybe we get the 1.25 again.

The Edge Says:
Three points win India to beat Bangladesh IF they hit 1.25 in-running with Betdaq Exchange.

IN-RUNNING STRATEGY:

My recommended bet above is basically an in-running strategy, so the plan is pretty straightforward here. This game will be about trying to get on India at a decent price at the right time. That could easily be if they lose an early wicket or two again on what should be a very good batting wicket. If Bangladesh bat first, we’re likely going to see a 1.01 train but given we usually get very good scoring conditions here we might see (finally) some good batting from Bangladesh to move the Indian price. It’s hard to see past an Indian win here in the end, but hopefully Bangladesh can move the market at some stage – I fear we could easily have a 1.01 train here though!
