GERMANY V NETHERLANDS

7.45pm A new week begins on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE with Nations League action! Wales are back in action in Group B4 in what is a must win game for them at home to Montenegro, but we kick off the evening with a cracker as Germany host the Netherlands in Group A3. This fixture is very likely going to decide the Group winner, and it’s the Netherlands that need a win here after drawing on Friday night away to Hungary. Germany beat Bosnia and Herzegovina as expected to go two points clear, and although we might see another upset in the Group in the next International break, I still feel Netherlands need to win here. In November, Germany host Bosnia and Herzegovina and then have to play Hungary away which might be a tricky fixture, but a win for Germany here would decide the Group so it’s up to the Netherlands to make the running here. We had a very entertaining game earlier in the Group when the sides met in the Netherlands; it finished 2-2 with Netherlands taking an early lead, Germany making it 2-1 before the Netherlands came back to make it 2-2. Hopefully we get more of the same here, I don’t see either side sitting back.

Germany come into the game as the odds on favourites with home advantage, they are trading 1.86 with Netherlands 4.5 and the draw is 4.1 at the time of writing. Netherlands would have been disappointed with a draw against Hungary on Friday night, but it could have easily be worse – they were 1-0 down and down to ten men as well. Germany made hard work of winning on Friday night, and it will be interesting to see how both sides approach this game. I have to say that the 1.86 feels a little short on Germany – they went into Euro 2024 with big expectations given they were hosting, but they have been in decline in recent years. I would definitely lean towards a lay of Germany in the match odds market, but I’m happy to focus on the goals market here. We had fireworks when the sides met earlier in the Group, and I’d expect the same here. Both Teams To Score is trading 1.59 and Over 2.5 goals is three ticks higher at 1.62. I couldn’t put anyone off either bet to be honest, but I do feel Both Teams To Score offers more value at the odds.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Both Teams To Score at 1.59 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

WALES V MONTENEGRO

7.45pm We go to Group B4 to finish Monday night as Wales host Montenegro. Wales played out a very entertaining 2-2 draw with Iceland on Friday night, and after Turkey beat Montenegro that left Turkey sitting top with seven points, Wales behind them on five and Iceland on Four. Montenegro have been the whipping boys of this Group so far, and they have yet to record a single point. This is a must win game for Wales if they are going to have any chance of topping this Group in my opinion; they simply cannot afford to drop points at home to the weakest side in the Group. Not only that, but Wales have to play away to Turkey in November, so obviously that’s going to be a very difficult fixture too – on paper, they tricky fixture for Turkey is their away game against Iceland while this game is going on. It could either be a very good or very bad night for Wales! As you would expect given home advantage, they come into the game as the odds on favourites. Wales are 1.6 with Montenegro 6.8 and the draw is 4.2 at the time of writing.

Although Montenegro have been beaten in all three games so far, they haven’t been hammered and they’ve made everyone work hard to beat them. Turkey had to grind out a 1-0 win on Friday night, and Wales only won by one goal when they sides met in September too. Wales let a 2-0 lead slip on Friday night, obviously we had a very open market heading into that game but given they went 2-0 up a draw was disappointing in the end. Montenegro are actually on their worst run in their history with five straight losses; hardly an alarming record given it’s only five games, but even so. You’d have to fancy Wales here, and the 1.6 makes a lot of appeal – Wales always perform better in front of their own fans, and they were the better side when the sides met earlier in the Group too. It has to be said however that Wales have been leaking goals and chances in recent times, so I’m happy to keep stakes reasonably limited.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Wales to beat Montenegro at 1.6 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
