ROMA V INTER MILAN

7.45pm It’s a blockbuster Sunday from Europe on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE this week! We have two top class fixtures from Serie A and La Liga to enjoy, and we kick off the evening in Serie A with a massive clash between Roma and Inter Milan. This is only matchday eight in Serie A, and these two sides have already had plenty of drama. Roma have sacked a manager, while Inter Milan have had a few setbacks including losing the Milan Derby. Because everyone has dropped points at some stage in Italy this season, Inter start the weekend only two points behind league leaders Napoli despite having dropped points in three of their seven games. You could call the start to the season by Inter a little lacklustre looking at their figures, but they are a mile off the top of the performance table. Atalanta have the best attacking figure at 1.77 while Inter currently sit on 1.56 – not too far off. Inter have also been strong at the back with an average xG conceded of only 1.13. Inter come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.91 with Roma 4.4 and the draw is 3.9 at the time of writing.

I have to say, I was surprised when Roma announced they sacked their manager. I know I already covered this at the time, but their under-lining numbers are pretty impressive. They have the third best attacking figure in Serie A this season, and their average xG conceded is 1.16 which is only 0.03 off Inter. They did start the season without a win in their first four games, and obviously we never quite know what’s going on in the dressing room. Jose Mourinho got sacked largely because Roma weren’t creating chances, but that wasn’t the case this time around. I have to say, it’s been hard to get a read on the situation with Roma this season and I’m happy to keep stakes low for this game. The 1.91 doesn’t jump off the page on Inter in my opinion, they have been conceding goals this season. Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.79 and Both Teams To Score is 1.72. From the last six meetings, three have had Over 2.5 goals and the 1.79 looks a few ticks short in my view. I do expect a very close game here, and for me the value is a small bet on the draw at 3.9.

One point win Draw at 3.9 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

BARCELONA V SEVILLA

8pm We move over to La Liga for another cracker to finish Sunday as Barcelona host Sevilla. Although they’ve had a few setbacks – losing in the Champions League and losing 4-2 to Osasuna – Barcelona still come into the weekend with a three point lead over Real Madrid. Barcelona came into this season with multiple issues off the field, but as I said at the start of the season, a quick start and getting into the title race will make all those issues quieten down. That’s pretty much what has happened to be honest – they are playing some excellent football too. Their average xG created is 1.82 – 0.01 off the top spot which is held by Real Madrid. They’ve also been impressive at the back – they have the second best defensive figure in La Liga as well as being so good going forward. For Barcelona, it’s been a case of ticking all of their boxes so far with only the odd setback as mentioned above. It’s been pretty much smooth sailing – what hasn’t been smooth sailing is the Sevilla results versus their performance levels! Sevilla come into this weekend sitting in 12th, but they have the fourth best attacking figure. Once again they are fluffing their lines in front of goal, and their fans must be wondering how long can this go on for!

It was a very similar story for Sevilla last season – I previewed one of their games before the International break and the question remains the same for every game they are involved in at the moment; at what point do you just expect them to not take their chances? Barcelona come into the game as the red-hot favourites at 1.37 with Sevilla 9.8 and the draw is 5.8 at the time of writing. Although Barcelona have been very impressive this season, that 1.37 feels very short looking at how Sevilla have been playing. Quite obviously, the biggest concern is Sevilla actually taking their chances – from that point of view, I am happy to stay out of the match odds market here. I’d be keen to lay Barcelona from a value point of view, but again it’s just hard to trust Sevilla. I’m keeping stakes very low here, but Both Teams To Score looks a nice price at 1.84 for a small position – Sevilla will create chances, let’s hope they take one!

The Ultra Says:
One point win Both Teams To Score at 1.84 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
