SUNDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews BARCELONA v ESPANYOL and INTER MILAN v VENEZIA all with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
BARCELONA V ESPANYOL
3.15pm The focus on Sunday from Europe is La Liga and Serie A on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE, and I’m sure the home double of Barcelona and Inter Milan will be a popular choice! We kick the day off in La Liga as Barcelona host Espanyol, and with Real Madrid’s fixture postponed away to Valencia after massive floods this week, Barcelona have a chance to go nine points clear at the top of the table. After a huge 4-0 win in El Clasico last weekend, even with Real Madrid having a game in hand it’s actually hard to see that gap being closed already. You’d have to feel that any more slip-ups from Real Madrid and the title race will be over early! Barcelona absolutely needed this start to the season with all their off field money issues – there’s nothing like success on the pitch to make all the off field issues go away! Barcelona will be fully expected to win here, and they come into the game as the red-hot favourites with Espanyol in the relegation battle this season. Barcelona are trading as one of the shortest prices around Europe this weekend at 1.13, if you fancy a shock then Espanyol are 25.0 and the draw is 12.5 at the time of writing.
With Barcelona trading so short in the match odds market, we’ll have to look around the side markets for some value here. This is going to be a case of how many goals can Barcelona score rather than will they win – Espanyol have second worst attacking figure in La Liga, and they come up against the best side in the league. An average xG created under 1.0 isn’t going to trouble a side like Barcelona, especially away from home. Espanyol come into this weekend sitting just outside the relegation zone, but their under-lining numbers make for grim reading. Not only are they very limited going forward, they also have the worst defensive figure in La Liga this season – you just can’t bring that kind of form into an away Barcelona game. I expect a very comfortable win for Barca here, and they can cover the 2.5 goal handicap which is trading an appealing 1.87 at the moment. Barcelona have been banging the goals in for fun lately, an early goal should see the floodgates open here.
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Barcelona – 2.5 goals to beat Espanyol at 1.87 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

INTER MILAN V VENEZIA
7.45pm We move over to Serie A to finish Sunday night as Inter Milan host Venezia. This is a very similar profile to the La Liga game above in the sense that we have a title contender against a relegation battled side. The only major difference is Inter Milan aren’t sitting top of the table! They come into this weekend four points behind Napoli in what should be an entertaining title race this season between the top two clubs. If you believed the betting at the start of the season, Juventus and AC Milan were going to be involved too but I don’t see that. To be honest, my most confident outright title winner in Europe this season was Inter Milan – Napoli are giving it a good go though! Unfortunately for Venezia, they come into this weekend sitting in the relegation zone, and they would have always been expected to be heavily involved in the relegation battle this season after coming up from Serie B. The main issue for them is the volume of chances they are conceding – they have the third worst defensive figure in Serie A this season, and they are conceding more than that too as they’ve been sloppy at the back.
It’s not a surprise that Inter Milan come into the game as the red-hot favourites. The home win is trading as short as 1.19 with Venezia 18.5 and the draw is 9.4 at the time of writing. Once again, it’s very difficult to see anything other than a comfortable home win and again I feel it’s a case of how many goals will Inter score rather than will they win. Venezia aren’t the worst attacking side in Serie A – but an average xG created of only 1.2 is hardly going to trouble Inter away from home. Inter have the second best defensive figure in Serie A this season too, their average xG conceded is only 1.08. Both Teams Not To Score at 1.77 is a tempting bet given how solid Inter have been at the back, and they end to control games at home. However, I like the 1.56 on Inter to cover the 1.5 goal handicap on the way to winning here. Venezia are there for the taking and they are conceding so many chances, Inter can cover the handicap.
The Ultra Says:
Three points win Inter Milan -1.5 goals to beat Venezia at 1.56 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
