1-2-3 BULL’S EYE! 233 POINTS PROFIT: Daqman set up a sequence of eight winning naps in a row (see Thursday’s list of 18 strikes) but yesterday switched to a bulls’-eye bet and won 50 points at BETDAQ 9.6, with his 8-1 alternative and a saver filling the first three places. The Sandown bull’s eye boosted his unbeaten eight-day run of profit to 233.49 points overall.

BIG PRICE: LITTLE BET
⭕ 2.25 Ascot After Tricky Tel completed a Chester double in May, jockey Silvestre De Sousa is said by the Racing Post to have told Sky Sports Racing: ‘He’s not very big but he has a lot of ability.’
But Tricky Tel’s trainer, Hugo Palmer, is quoted as follows in the Post’s Raceday Intel today: ‘He hit the line strongly at Chester and it was a surprise he organised himself so well there as he’s a big horse.’
By coincidence, the two-year-old’s sire is Ubetterbelieveit.. but ‘believe what?’ I am bound to ask.
My verdict: I watched the race two or three times this morning and thought that the ‘little big horse’ did well to win off a wide draw. It was a tall order from his stall!
Will he be suited by today’s straight track? Hugo seems sure of it, since this is the colt’s second Ascot target: the trainer fancied him for a race at the royal meeting but he had to be pulled out because of a minor injury.
Karl Burke’s two-year-olds won’t stop winning (32 times this year, in fact): class 4-handicap at Newbury, Listed at Sandown made no difference yesterday and Reciprocated is top-rated here.
Ten-lengths Wolverhampton winner Time To Turn went down by a head to A Bit Of Spirit at Newbury two weeks earlier.
Spirit has bags of courage and Tel is big at Betdaq Betting Exchange offers of 15.0 (2-1 or so a place). That’s my one-two.
MANY MEN THROWN IN
⭕ 3.00 Ascot (Brown Jack Stakes) Three-year-olds do well in this and Many Men gets weight concessions all round, although he’s among the highest rated in the race.
We just have to trust that trainer Jim Boyle can step him up in trip to the two miles, his success so far at 1m 2f and 1m 6.5f. Many Men’s half-brother made the transition to 2m and I took BETDAQ 2.72.
Both consistent over shorter, Fireblade was hammered by Pendragon at Sandown (1m 6f) a few days after Blindedbythelights tried 2m for the first time on the first day of the month but was beaten favourite.
Contacto, aged four, runs off a similar mark for Andrew Balding, who has won the race twice in the last five years but with three-year-olds.
Caprelo and Tailorman have both scored over the trip but at class-5 level.
PINHOLE IS BETTER CLASS
⭕ 3.35 Ascot Another three-year-old well in today is Pinhole, a 98-rated dropping from Group play in the Queen’s Vase and, before that, fourth behind dual Derby winner, Lambourn, at Chester.
Assail is a class-4 CD winner here at Ascot but has the 88 handicap rating to go with it.
Dream Harder has held his own in several class-2 races including here but had to drop back to level 4 at Chester to get back into the winner’s enclosure.
A similar profile emerges for Arqoob, class-2 winner at Sandown in 2022 but then a long losing run finally ended in class 4 success at Kempton (AW).
Kings Code scored at Pontefract in class-2 company in the Spring but had lost five races before that and five more since.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
