HAS MENUISIER LANDED?
⭕ 4.15 Newbury We have been waiting for David Menuisier to start his season! It’s not quite as bad as that but he set high hopes last year.
He comes to this meeting on 3-17 but dare I repeat that it’s not quite as bad as that.
In fact, he is 3-6 from three days’ racing since last Friday (form figures 114414), including winners at Goodwood and Newmarket.
Menuisier’s Land Of Liberty is one of four runners in this that you need to take a second look at in nurseries, along with Zipwire, Pepper Fizz, Creciente and Darkest Red. All are making their handicap debut.
Land Of Liberty (BETDAQ 7.6 this morning) showed some finish in her last race. So, too, did Pepper Fizz, whose trainer, Georgina Nicholls, saddled her first two-year-old winner here at Newbury. BETDAQ 9.9.
GO TO WAR WITH 7.9 BET
⭕ 6.15 Southwell Success for Thurso in this 7f handicap would boost War Howl 10 minutes later at Newbury, though Thurso’s wins before War Howl beat him at Ascot were both over 6f.
⭕ 6.25 Newbury Three-year-olds have landed a hat-trick in this from high draws, which has us choosing between three tonight:
Ruff Justice, Sea Founder and War Howl.
Ruff Justice visited this place three times in July and August and big offers about her suggested she wouldn’t pay the fares.
She finished 10/6/8 and the only hope today is that an extra furlong might make a difference.
Sea Founder won his maiden at Windsor in April and was second at Haydock in June. Here at Newbury the last day, he was made favourite but was hampered and weakened out of the fight.
I can’t see anything in those efforts by Ruff Justice and Sea Founder to threaten the hat-trick seeker, War Howl, who has taken steps up in class and weight in his stride. Can he do it over this extra furlong BETDAQ 7.9.
TIME FOR THE CANDY MAN
⭕ 7.00 Newbury Henry Candy comes to this race with form figures in his last five racing days of 101410.
His Time Test gelding, Slipper Time, was ridden wide of the rest of the field when he won at Salisbury, after being an unlucky favourite at Lingfield (interference), taking no chances.
Golden Redemption (331 form in England) has been placed over 7f but broke his maiden in early August over 6f under Oisin Murphy, who will steer him back to 7f now, no worries.
Betdaq Betting Exchange 2.42 Golden Redemption, 12.5 Slipper Time.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
