LET’S GET SNAPPY

⭕ 4.10 Catterick The last day of racing before it’s ‘all out’ tomorrow with the BHA ‘strike’. Cork keeps the show on the road though with a seven race card on Wednesday starting at 4.10pm. We may see a meeting striked off today too as Ffos Las are having a look at 12.30pm ahead of their evening meeting due to heavy rain the area. I’ll give that a swerve as it will be bottomless.

Crocodile Power looks ready for a return to the winners’ enclosure after some solid recent runs including over course and distance last time out when narrowly beaten by Quercus. On that form he is closely matched with Dream Deal who was beaten a very similar distance by Quercus over course and distance in August but seems to have regressed in two starts since and hasn’t got any relief from the handicapper.

BOTTLE ON THE BEACH

⭕ 5.10 Catterick a competitive seven furlong finale in which two stand out.

Filey Beach’s chance is obvious after his course, distance and going win last time out where he overcame a wide draw in 14 to make all the running. He’s drawn better (4) today and is likely again to make a bold bid from the front.

One More Bottle was a beaten favourite over course and distance last time out but the return to a quicker surface may help his cause and his form looks quite solid in the context of this grade.

AWELE GOOD NAP

⭕ 5.25 Leicester My Awele is taken to defy top weight of 9-12 and land the losing six furlong handicap for trainer Conrad Allen who is having his first runner for nearly a month.

My Awele won nicely over course and distance in July and wasn’t disgraced in better company at Windsor last time out. Off the same mark she remains of interest and is napped on the on Betdaq Betting Exchange.
