BARCELONA V VALENCIA

8pm The action continues from Europe on Betdaq Betting Exchange this weekend, and the focus on Sunday is on La Liga as Barcelona host Valencia. As always, we should have a cracking title race between Barcelona and Real Madrid in Spain this season, and Barcelona dropped points prior to the International Break with a 1-1 draw away to Rayo Vallecano. I know Rayo Vallecano had a very impressive season to sneak into the European spots last season, but the disappointing thing for Barcelona was the performance. They had a penalty and still finished the game with a lower xG than Rayo Vallecano.

They’ll be fully expected to bounce back with a win here; home advantage against a pretty average Valencia side these days. It’s not a surprise to see Barcelona come into this game as the red-hot favourites. Barcelona are 1.26 with Valencia 13.0 and the draw is 7.3 at the time of writing. Valencia have had a decent start to the season with four points from three games – it’s clear to see they are heading for mid-table again to be honest. The thing to focus on here is their worst performance came away from home against Osasuna in a 1-0 loss that could have been much worse.

If they play even close to that level here, they will be hammered. Obviously with Barcelona trading so short in the match odds market, we’ll have to look around the side markets for some value. Barcelona absolutely hammered Valencia twice last season – a 7-1 win when they had home advantage and then 5-0 when they were away from home later in the season. I feel this one is going to be about how many goals can Barcelona score rather than will they actually win. The market is expecting goals with Over 2.5 goals trading 1.35 and it’s also expecting some help from Valencia too with Both Teams To Score trading odds on at 1.76.

Obviously Barcelona like to play an exceptionally open game with an approach of “we’ll just score more than you” so it is hard to back a Barcelona clean sheet! Valencia haven’t exactly been conceding chances for fun at the start of the season, but obviously Barcelona have been excellent going forward. Barcelona can cover the handicap on the way to winning here in my opinion, and the -1.5 goal handicap is an appealing price at 1.67. I feel we’re getting plenty of value with that price, and it’s worth a confident bet!

The Ultra Says:
Four points win Barcelona -1.5 goals to beat Valencia at 1.67 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
