THE ULTRA SUNDAY: The Ultra previews La Liga on Sunday as Barcelona host Getafe with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
BARCELONA V GETAFE
8pm It’s been a superb week all around Europe on Betdaq Betting Exchange, and we finish it off on Sunday in La Liga as Barcelona host Getafe. We already knew this coming into the season, but with Atletico Madrid dropping points already it’s now certain that the title race will be between Real Madrid and Barcelona. On pure under-lining numbers, once again it appears that Barcelona have been playing the better football again this season but they have already dropped points – Real Madrid come into this weekend with a two point advantage.
Of course, both sides have games this weekend that they are fully expected to win. Real Madrid play on Saturday so they could be five points ahead before kick off here. It’s no surprise that Barcelona are the red-hot favourites here though. Barcelona are trading 1.25 with Getafe 14.0 and the draw is 7.2 at the time of writing. Getafe were involved in the relegation battle last season, but they’ll be absolutely delighted with their start to the season this time. Three wins from four games put them into the top four coming into this matchday!
Getafe tried to keep their games as tight as possible last season. Their average xG created was very low at 1.13 but this was balanced out by the fact that they had an average xG conceded of just 1.07. That was the third best defensive figure in La Liga last season; only Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao conceded less chances. Their under-lining numbers are already very similar this season – if they could create more up front they’d actually be a very decent side – but they have over-performed in their opening games.
Obviously Getafe are up against it – this is the hardest fixture in La Liga after all – but I wouldn’t be rushing to take the 1.25 on Barcelona given how solid Getafe have been at the back. Obviously Barcelona are the best side in La Liga, but I do feel we’ll see better 1.25 shots over the season; I wouldn’t be keen to include them in my weekend Acca and I’m happy to look around the side markets for some value.
I do feel that Getafe will make this hard work for Barcelona. Under 2.5 goals is a nice price at 2.56 in my opinion, as is Under 3.5 goals at 1.62. Another option is Both Teams Not To Score at 1.75 given the lack of chances created by Getafe. Barcelona are trading 1.72 to cover a 1.5 goal handicap, which doesn’t make much appeal either. I feel the best option here is Under 3.5 goals at 1.62; Getafe can keep the score line respectable here.
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Under 3.5 goals at 1.62 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
