THE ULTRA WEDNESDAY: The Ultra previews REAL BETIS v NOTTINGHAM FOREST including a recommended BETDAQ bet.
REAL BETIS V NOTTINGHAM FOREST
8pm The Europa League kicks off this week on Betdaq Betting Exchange, and we have some fascinating fixtures ahead! We start the week on Wednesday night as Real Betis host Nottingham Forest, and it will be absolutely fascinating to see how Forest get on here under Ange Postecoglou. It’s fair to say that the appointment hasn’t had a massive impact – and given the nature of the fast paced world we live in he’s nearly under pressure already. He’s not going to get sacked, but the UK media are going to be all over him.
He took a chance by resting players for their Carabao Cup tie and that backfired massively. Obviously the interesting thing with Nottingham Forest is the owners expectations – last season Forest massively over-performed to finish in seventh to get European football. They finished the season with an average xG created of 1.28 which was the seventh worst attacking figure. This season was always going to be tough in the sense that expectations have risen massively, and how clubs deal with that is always fascinating.
We could find a similar situation with West Ham – they were in the relegation battle when David Moyes took over, he took them to a European trophy, and then of course it’s hard to go back to just being a standard mid-table Premier League side after the highs. The reality for Forest is to not be in the relegation battle is a decent achievement. But they find themselves now in Europe from being 17th in 2023/24! It’s no surprise to see Real Betis favourites here with home advantage – the home win is trading 2.28 with Nottingham Forest 3.35 and the draw is 3.65 at the time of writing.
Real Betis have had a decent start to the season – they come into this game sitting in sixth in La Liga which is where they finished last season. They have played one more game than the sides around them, however they have an impressive average xG created at 1.65 which is the fifth best attacking figure in La Liga at the moment. Forest have been conceding more chances than they are creating, and I do feel the 2.28 looks nice value on the home win here. Betis are a very solid side at this level – especially with home advantage – and Forest look there for the taking.
The Ultra Says:
Three points win Real Betis to beat Nottingham Forest at 2.28 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
