BODO/GLIMT V TOTTENHAM

8pm The Champions League is back and in full flow on Betdaq Betting Exchange! We have a cracking Tuesday night ahead with Spurs, Chelsea and Liverpool all in action. We had another dramatic weekend in the Premier League with all three clubs dropping points. We kick off the night with Spurs traveling to take on Bodo/Glimt. These two sides met in the Europa League Semi-Final last season on the way to Spurs eventually winning the competition – they absolutely bossed the tie. Spurs won 3-1 at home and then came here to win 2-0. I know you never quite know what you’re going to get from this Spurs side, but there is quite a gulf in class here. I was actually a little surprised to see the odds when I clicked into the market. Spurs are the favourites at 2.26 with Bodo/Glimt 3.2 and the draw is 3.95 at the time of writing. I have to say I was expecting Spurs to be trading shorter; even allowing for the fact that they conceded a lot of possession when they played here last season. They won 2-0, the game was very even on xG figures, but Bodo/Glimt finished the game with 69% possession.

That being said, Spurs went into that game with a 3-1 lead; it was just a case of protecting the lead and getting to the Final. When they had home advantage, they absolutely dominated the game and looked a level above. Obviously with Spurs these days, it’s very hard to have a lot of faith in them. They dropped points at the weekend at home against Wolves, who lost their opening five games and are now odds on for relegation. They very nearly lost that game too; the equaliser came in the 94th minute and given they had home advantage, you’d be disappointed with the amount of chances that Spurs created when Wolves have been so poor this season. Obviously there will always be some red flags with Spurs – they are just that type of club – however, there’s a big gulf in class between the sides here and I’d have Spurs shorter than 2.26 based on the meetings from the Europa League. I’m happy to limit stakes however; it is Spurs!

The Ultra Says:
One point win Tottenham to beat Bodo/Glimt at 2.26 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

CHELSEA V BENFICA

8pm Next we have possibly the most entertaining game of the evening as Chelsea host Benfica. Undoubtedly all eyes will be on Jose Mourinho here as he returns to Stamford Bridge. Mourinho’s career has definitely plotted a different course over the last number of years; he has sought out passion from the club/support rather than big jobs or just going somewhere for money. When he accepted the Benfica job, obviously all the attention turned to the Champions League fixture list and it’s quite the run. Mourinho will face Chelsea, Newcastle, Bayer Leverkusen, Ajax, Napoli, Juventus and Real Madrid. Remarkable that he’s facing so many old clubs too – the reality is he has his hands very full and could actually finish with no points. Obviously Mourinho is still very new here – he was only appointed after Benfica lost their opening Champions League game. He got a win under his belt at the weekend in Portugal, which is a better weekend than Chelsea who lost here against Brighton 3-1. Chelsea are definitely on the backfoot this season – they came into the Premier League well fancied to trouble Liverpool and Arsenal but they don’t look title contenders at all so far.

It’s hard to ignore the massive gulf in class between the Premier League and Liga Portugal – aside from Jose Mourinho being in town, most football fans would see this has a game that Chelsea should be winning. They come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.65 with Benfica 5.8 and the draw is 4.3 at the time of writing. Chelsea will say that they are unlucky to be sitting in mid-table given their attacking figure is in the top five in the Premier League. They actually have the same average xG created as Manchester City. Benfica clearly had a number of issues before Mourinho arrived, and he’s not going to fix them overnight either. I feel it’s hard to get away from the Chelsea win here – they are still playing good football but they have been too sloppy at the back. They might not face the same type of pressure here, and the 1.65 is a little big for me. Similar thoughts apply to the Spurs bet though; I’m happy to keep stakes small given it’s likely we get a new manager bounce from Benfica with Mourinho in charge.

One point win Chelsea to beat Benfica at 1.65 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

GALATASARAY V LIVERPOOL

8pm We finish Tuesday night with another very interesting market as Galatasaray host Liverpool. We all know that Galatasaray away is one of the toughest fixtures atmosphere wise in Europe, and it’s a given that the stadium will be rocking. Obviously there is a gulf in class between the sides, but it’s still a very tricky place to come and win. Liverpool suffered their first defeat in the Premier League at the weekend too, losing 2-1 away to Crystal Palace – they are still sitting on top of the Premier League though – plenty of sides have dropped points this season! It’s no surprise that Liverpool come into the game as the odds on favourites – Arne Slot’s men are trading 1.69 with Galatasaray 4.8 and the draw is 4.7 at the time of writing. Galatasaray are already running away with the Super Lig in Turkey – they have won their seven games and already have a very nice cushion. Quite possibly a reflection of the Turkish league though is Galatasaray were hammered 5-1 by Eintracht Frankfurt in their opening Champions League game. Frankfurt were 22 points behind Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga last season, and you’d put Liverpool in the same bracket as Bayern.

So, a big gulf in class here. I know Liverpool had a setback at the weekend and this is obviously a tough atmosphere to deal with it, but the 1.69 looks ten ticks too big in my opinion. Arne Slot’s side were absolutely superb last season and their performances levels have been very strong this season too. They have the second best attacking figure in the Premier League and their average xG conceded of 1.11 is a very solid figure at the back too. It’s actually hard to find fault in Liverpool. It’ll be interesting to see how open Galatasaray want this game to be – the market is expecting an entertaining game because Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.48. I feel if Galatasaray want to go toe-to-toe with Liverpool, that will end badly for them – Liverpool are exceptional going forward. I feel we’re getting very good value on the Liverpool win here though, and at 1.69 they are a confident bet to finish Tuesday night!

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Liverpool to beat Galatasaray at 1.69 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
