DAYS OF DREAM RUN IN PARIS: Daqman’s Arc de Triomphe countdown begins with the amazing run of fillies and mares, including seven out of eight in the great days of Treve and Enable. What are their chances on Sunday? Find out tomorrow.
GREAT ARC FILLIES AND MARES
THE age of fillies and mares in the Arc was launched by Zarkava in 2008, followed by no fewer than seven out of eight between 2011 and 2018, including doubles for Treve and Enable.
A resurgence in the last three seasons has seen success for Sir Mark Prescott’s grey Alpinista and Ralph Beckett’s Bluestocking.
The German mare Danedream (128) achieved the highest rating, with the lowest Solemia in a weak field (115).
128 DANEDREAM (2011) by Lomitas (Gr Preis von Berlin, Baden)
126 TREVE (2013-14) by Motivator (Diane and Vermeille)
125 ENABLE (2017-18) by Nathaniel (Oaks, Irish Oaks, K George)
124 FOUND (2016) by Galileo (Breeders Cup Turf)
123 ALPINISTA (2022) by Frankel (Gr Preis Berlin, Yorkshire Oaks)
123 ZARKAVA (2008) by Zamindar (Pouliches, Diane, Vermeille)
122 BLUESTOCKING (2024) by Camelot (Vermeille)
115 SOLEMIA (2012) by Poliglote (Vermeille third)
TRAINERS: Ralph Beckett, Alain de Royer-Dupre, John Gosden, Criquette Head, Carlos Laffon-Parias, Aidan O’Brien, Sir Mark Prescott, Peter Schiergen.
*TOMORROW: This year’s Arc trials
PREVIEW SAYS PURVIEW
⭕ 4.15 Cork Navigation Stakes Listed An open Black Type race here in which the official ratings and Betdaq Betting Exchange market might be right with Purview.
This looks at the lower end of Listed class and he will find this easier than the two Group races he contested at Leopardstown in the summer when he finished runner-up on both occasions.
He was a little disappointing at this level at Deauville last time out but the softer ground quite possibly counted against him and it looks like being a little quicker here.
Reyenzi might need it softer whilst Cadogan is having his first go at this level and might be best watched.
REACH FOR THE STARS
⭕ 4.52 Bath There’s every chance they might not see which way King Of Stars goes as the grey takes a big drop in class after mixing it in the deep end for most of the season including an excellent third in a class 2 handicap at Ascot.
Mason Paetel (rode a winner at Brighton yesterday) takes a handy 5lb off riding him for the first time and there’s no doubt that point and shoot tactics will be deployed again as King Of Stars loves blasting away from the get go.
He’s a previous course, distance, going and class winner here too back in 2021.
Confidence is tempered a little by his disappointing effort at York last time out but he wasn’t given a hard race once his chance had gone.
Unlike King Of Stars, most of these have had quite busy seasons but Jax Edge is continuing to run well and might hit the places again under regular pilot Gina Mangan.
LADY PENELOPE FOR THE NAP
⭕ 8.00 Newcastle Penelope Valentine is out again quickly after her easy win at Wolverhampton eight days ago and will surely take some stopping despite the statutory 6lb penalty.
That was her second start for James Owen and further improvement seems likely.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
