EARLY VALUE TIPS FROM DAQMAN: Daqman, who was in the money yesterday with Quiescent at Newmarket, headquarters of the Flat, takes an early look at Jumps HQ at Cheltenham tomorrow, looking for early value when books open about two Sean Bowen rides. Meanwhile, he has a nap with a touch of class this afternoon at Fontwell, where Bowen has mounts today.

WON 15-8 QUIESCENT (Wednesday)

LOOK OUT AT CHELTENHAM..

MAN IN A MILLION. Champion jumps jockey Sean Bowen, riding high with 117 winners – 69 clear in the table – goes to Cheltenham’s Showcase reopening tomorrow with his target a million in prizemoney for the season so far.

Just a double from Sean’s four mounts would do the trick, and that double could be with Alnilam (1.50) and Sir Galahad (3.00) for Olly Murphy.

Bowen has a magnificent record in the last two weeks of 17-47 (that’s a 36% strike rate), 10 of them for Murphy .

Bowen and Murphy had six consecutive from Sedgefield to Plumpton then Perth over Sunday, Monday, Tuesday.

Then Bowen had four more, three of them for Murphy, at Worcester yesterday. In fact, a run of 10 from 11, still standing, the loser fourth for another yard at Perth and one pulled up at Worcester.

LAD WITH TOUCH OF CLASS

⭕ 3.45 Fontwell George’s Lad won at Doncaster in January in the proverbial canter and tempted Emma Lavelle to pitch him into the Grade-3 NH Novices’ Hurdle Final at Sandown, run just before the Cheltenham Festival.

The runner-up when he won was a Nicky Henderson hurdler who next time out scored with similar ease on the same track.

But unfortunately things went all wrong for ‘George’ at Sandown: short of room then hampered and, though second two out, he was clearly unsettled, faded and fell last.

Winners over George’s Lad in the month before his Doncaster success were a hat-trick scorer and a subsequent second in both Grade 1 and Grade 2.

Trainer Lavelle, who has had an autumn run of five winners out of six, has rested George’s Lad since that race and he has returned to form at home.

⭕ 4.15 Fontwell Sean Bowen’s Fontwell mounts today are Big Bert (1.45) and Nazare (2.15), both for James Owen; Record High (4.15) at 5.4 on Betdaq Betting Exchange for Suzy Smith and finally Kopa Kilana (4.50) is his sole starter for Murphy.

ALL PALS AT SOUTHWELL..

⭕ 7.30 Southwell Pals Battalion, who is 142112210 on AW for David O’Meara, seems to have a tricky task off 10st but is dropped from class 2 and 3 to this class 4, well drawn and with the yard set to clock up 75 winners at Southwell. BETDAQ 11.5.

In the neighbouring stall, Nazuki returns to the course where she started a sequence of 211 last year at this time. Jamie Spencer is booked by the stable for two mounts today. BETDAQ 13.5.

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
