DAQMAN NAP THEN HE HITS THE BULL: Despite the low-level midweek racing, with rain and snow about, Daqman found BETDAQ offers too tempting to resist yesterday and hit the bull’s-eye with a win-50 bet last night at Kempton after landing his afternoon nap at Warwick.

Profit yesterday 59 points
WON 11-10 CHUGGY (nap)
WON 6-1 TWO TEMPTING (bull’s-eye bet, BETDAQ 8.5)
TODAY: Daqman claims 8.0 on BETDAQ could be another bull’s-eye benefit at Warwick.
TIZZARD STAR CAN SHINE
⭕ 1.35 Wincanton Joe Tizzard, who landed a double at the last meeting here, sends out two today from his yard just eight miles down the road.
In between the November meetings on his home track, the Tizzard flag has been hoisted back to the top seven in the trainers’ table with a big boost at Cheltenham (3 out of 3), Alexei bagging the Autumn Gold Cup.
Tizzard has scored 10 times since that Wincanton double and is showing 105 points profit to a level stake for the season.
Star Of Affinity (around 2-1 this morning) looks poised for a return to form after a promising start to his chase career at Chepstow earlier in the month, dropped back in trip on good ground to sharpen his jumping.
Wincanton takes no prisoners on that score but he’s won three times over hurdles, including at Kempton Park and Taunton at the start of the year over half a mile and more further than today.
Juggernaut has three chase places under his belt but, nine times in the frame only twice a winner, rarely finds the required finish.
He’s not as bad as Two To Tango (nine times placed without winning) and Athoceltic, two seconds two thirds, yet to get off the mark in eight attempts.
SHADOW OVER THE NIGHT..
⭕ 2.20 Warwick The step up in trip gives the Dan Skelton mare, Twistthenightaway, chance to take the floor and show her hidden ability.
From the family of a Stayers Hurdle winner, she kept on from the rear in her bumper on today’s course.
Then, on her return last month, didn’t get a clear run making late headway at Uttoxeter on her hurdles debut.
She finished behind the long-time leader, Dream Shadow, bred to be equally well served by today’s longer race.
I’ll take the pair of them to beat this field, the one for consistent placing over shorter, the other so promising for a stable in peak form, the both of them suited on breeding by the trip.
I could get a ‘surely too big’ 8.0 Twistthenightaway on Betdaq Betting Exchange , with an even-money saver Dream Shadow.
IT’S HARD TO STOP TALKING
⭕ 3.20 Wincanton The goodish ground and the addition of (first time) blinkers gives Joe Tizzard hope of a revival from Belgarum.
Perhaps the seven-year-old has not been able to cope with the 7lb rise for winning at Newton Abbot three starts back in May, though that wasn’t as harsh as the 23lb incurred by a novice-chase double last summer.
Charlie Longsdon is also looking for an edge from headgear, when he applies cheekpieces to Imperial Jade. Harry Cobden is booked for the dual winner in the Spring.
Merry Monty, a winner over 2m 2f, has been beaten twice over today’s trip but the better ground will help if it stays dry.
But, in that case, Pep Talking will be hard to stop at around 3.4. He’s won at Huntingdon, Uttoxeter, Sedgefield, Hereford and Southwell, up 18lb for his most formidable test last time out.
That was two grades of race higher over a higher grade of jumping track at Wetherby. And he made all.
