CRYSTAL PALACE v MANCHESTER CITY

2pm Another fascinating Super Sunday from the Premier League on Betdaq Betting Exchange! We have a busy afternoon given all the European commitments from sides midweek. We have four games kicking off at 2pm, and while we have plenty of interesting fixtures the best quality fixture is Crystal Palace hosting Manchester City in my opinion. Obviously we might have plenty of drama between Sunderland and Newcastle – then we also have Nottingham Forest hosting Spurs and Thomas Frank is starting to feel the heat with Spurs slipping down the table. It’s been a massive week for Pep Guardiola and his side though – a routine win last weekend over Sunderland became massive when Arsenal lost, closing the gap to two points at the top of the table. They then followed that up with a 2-1 win over Real Madrid away in the Champions League midweek – couldn’t have really had a better seven days! They have to keep the momentum going though, and this will be a difficult fixture. Palace have been getting a huge amount of results this season, they come into this weekend sitting in the Top Four and the squad must be full of confidence.

Manchester City come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.86 with Crystal Palace 4.4 and the draw is 4.1 at the time of writing. A lot of football fans might feel that the 1.86 is too short on City when they look at the table – they are both sitting in the Top Four after all! When you look at the performance levels though, that 1.86 becomes a little big in my opinion. City have an average xG created of 1.7 compared to Palace at 1.32 – that’s a mid-table attacking figure. Palace have been getting away with things at the back though this season – their average xG conceded is reasonable at 1.3 but their actual goals conceded is only 0.8 and that’s quite a difference – there’s a lot of points gained there! City have been much more solid at the back, and I actually wouldn’t be surprised to see a reasonably cagey affair here despite both managers setting their sides up to play attacking football. Under 2.5 goals is trading 2.38 and that looks quite a tempting bet to be honest – I also like the Manchester City win at 1.86. I actually couldn’t put anyone off either bet here, I think City will have to grind this one out. Marginally, I prefer the Unders option!

The Striker Says:
Two points win Under 25 goals at 2.38 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

BRENTFORD v LEEDS

4.30pm We finish Super Sunday with Brentford hosting Leeds, and this is a massive game for both sides. At the start of the season, these two sides would have been in the relegation discussion. Indeed, we had a lot of red flags with Brentford towards the start of the season! Things seemed to turn around for them with the 3-1 win here against Manchester United – since then they’ve added home wins against Liverpool and Newcastle. They’ve really been relying on their home form this season – almost like they have two different sides! They’ve lost their last four away games, and won their four of their last five home games with the loss coming against Manchester City – no shame in that! As things stand, Wolves and Burnley look nailed on for relegation this season. That leaves one spot, and that looks like it’s going to be between West Ham and Leeds – obviously Nottingham Forest are hanging around and Brentford are within four points of Leeds, but that is what it feels like at the moment. Obviously this game is massive because a win for either side is a direct blow to the other – Brentford fans will say they aren’t in the relegation battle but a win for Leeds here might drag them back into things.

Given the home form for Brentford, it’s no surprise that they come into the game as the favourites. Brentford are trading 2.06 with Leeds 4.0 and the draw is 3.65 at the time of writing. Obviously Brentford have been great at getting the job done with home advantage this season, but the 2.06 still feels a little short here. Leeds have a better overall attacking figure – their average xG created is 1.34 compared to Brentford at 1.22. There’s barely anything between the sides at the back – actually only 0.03 between the sides on defensive xG figures. I’m going to keep stakes low here because clearly Brentford are a different animal with home advantage, but I just feel that this game will be closer than the odds of 2.06 suggest. From a value point of view, I’m happy with a small Brentford lay – Leeds have managed a win over Chelsea and a draw with Liverpool in their last two; they can claim another result here.

The Striker Says:
One point lay (liability) Brentford to beat Leeds at 2.06 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
