LIVERPOOL V BARNSLEY

7.45pm The FA Cup Third Round comes to an end with Monday Night Football on Betdaq Betting Exchange! We have a bit of a miss-match here as Liverpool host Barnsley – most football fans will be expecting a comfortable home win here and it’s no surprise that Liverpool come into the game as the red-hot favourites. Liverpool are trading 1.21 with Barnsley 14.0 and the draw is 9.2 at the time of writing. Liverpool have generally opted to rest players at this stage of the FA Cup in recent years – Jurgen Klopp outright disrespected the competition at times in fairness – but there’s such a gulf in class here, Liverpool can afford to rest plenty of their stars.

Barnsley have been struggling in League One this season – they currently sit in 17th and for the time being they are heavily involved in the relegation battle only two points away from the relegation zone. Looking at their under-lining numbers; they shouldn’t be there. They actually have the eighth best attacking figure – there’s only 0.03 between their attacking xG and their defensive xG and that type of performance levels usually lands you in mid-table. So far this season, luck just hasn’t gone their way. Maybe they’ll use it all up here with some magic of the Cup!

We saw an incredible result as Crystal Palace got knocked out on Saturday, but they were away from home. At Anfield, it’s hard to see anything going wrong here – Manchester City had home advantage on Saturday and scored ten against a League One side. With the money in the top flight at the moment, the gulf in class is just massive. It’s hard to see past the Liverpool win – no prizes for tipping 1.21 shots – so we’ll have to look around the side markets for some value.

Liverpool have been sloppy at the back this season, and that’s brought them a tonne of problems. It’s why they aren’t in the title race. However, I can’t really see Barnsley causing too many problems, I agree with the market having the Both Teams To Score price not far off 2.0 either side. I do feel Liverpool can score a few goals here, and I’d much rather back them to cover the 1.5 goal handicap compared to keeping a clean sheet. That’s trading around 1.5 and I’m happy with a small investment to finish the Third Round.

The Striker Says:
One point win Liverpool -1.5 goals to beat Barnsley at 1.5 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
