WOLVES V NEWCASTLE

2pm Another Super Sunday rolls around on Betdaq Betting Exchange, and we have two interesting markets to go through. We kick off the day with Wolves hosting Newcastle, and this will be a game that most fans will be expecting Newcastle to win given how poor Wolves have been this season. After going 19 games without a win at the start of the season, Wolves finally got three points with a 3-0 win over West Ham with home advantage. We can’t read too much into that given how poor West Ham have been – both sides are nailed on to go down now. Newcastle were involved in midweek Cup action, but after losing 2-0 to Manchester City with home advantage they are in a very poor position. Newcastle have been struggling for results this season but they have shot up the table recently with three wins in a row and everyone else dropping points – namely Chelsea and Manchester United! Newcastle are back in the mix for a European spot – and this is a must win game if they want to have a chance of getting a Europa League spot – you cannot afford to be dropping points against Wolves this season.

It’s no surprise to see Newcastle come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.77 with Wolves 4.9 and the draw is 4.2 at the time of writing. The writing has been on the wall for Wolves for a while now – seven points from 21 games is a woeful return. The only positive they have going for them here is they are unbeaten in their last three, so you could say that they are on their best run of the season! That being said though, it’s very hard to get away from Newcastle at 1.77 here – they haven’t been fully taking their chances but the goals are finally starting to come now. Wolves have been conceding an average of two goals per game this season and as the saying goes; you don’t win many games conceding two goals! Newcastle have been creating a good volume of chances this season and given what Wolves have been conceding, the 1.77 looks cracking value on Newcastle here. I feel we’re getting enough value at 1.77 to have a Five Star NAP to start the day!

The Striker Says:
Five points win Newcastle to beat Wolves at 1.77 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

ASTON VILLA V EVERTON

4.30pm We finish Super Sunday with Aston Villa hosting Everton – this is a very similar market to the early game, except this time the odds on favourites are the home side. Aston Villa are trading 1.72 with Everton 5.6 and the draw is 4.0 at the time of writing. Unai Emery has been doing an immense job with Aston Villa this season – they are already locked in for a Top Four spot given how many points the others have dropped. It feels like a lifetime ago that Villa started the season with four games failing to score – their average xG created is still only 1.36 which is a mid-table figure in the Premier League. That has been increasing lately which is positive, but there’s no getting away from the fact that Villa have been over-performing in front of goal this season. You have to hand it to Unai Emery – he has got the absolute max out of this squad. Not only have they been over-performing up front, they have been getting away with a lot at the back. Their average xG conceded is 1.46 which is quite high – but their actual goals conceded average is only 1.14 – there’s a lot of points gained there through sides not taking their chances.

Everton actually aren’t too far off Aston Villa in terms of under-lining numbers. For example, there’s only 0.09 between the sides on attacking figures and 0.06 between them at the back. Everton’s games have been very quiet this season – we all know David Moyes like to keep things tight at the back and grinds out results. Everton have also been getting away with things at the back this season. They have been much better with home advantage though, even allowing for the fact that they have moved home this season. The 1.72 is a tempting bet on Villa here given how good they have been at getting over the line in games this season. However, I do feel we’re going to get a very tight game here and Under 2.5 goals looks a nice bet at 1.97. I know both have been conceding chances this season, but neither side like to approach games with all-out attack either – I was surprised to see the Under/Over 2.5 goals market so even. I’d have Unders as the clear favourites.

The Striker Says:
Two points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.97 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
