STAKING PLAN SCORES AGAIN: Daqman’s three BETDAQ bets finished 213 yesterday, with Mbappe providing the goal for his staking plan: to finish in front four days running, in which he’s landed three naps, one of them a maximum-stakes supernap. Can Daqman stay on the right side today, using the BETDAQ market for more exotic bets, with the champion jockey on his side?
Wednesday profit on the day 3.4 points
WON 11-10 MBAPPE
Tuesday profit on the day 1.2 points
WON 4-5 MIDNIGHT CALL (nap)
Monday profit on the day 18 points
WON 1-4 LEADER D’ALLIER (supernap)
WON 9-2 MON CHAMPION
Sunday profit on the day 9 points

THE DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH
AYR ATTACK! Sean Bowen, rapidly closing on 200 winners for the season, rides for his top trainers at Ayr today: England’s Olly Murphy, 79 winners at 25%, but Ireland’s Gordon Elliott, though with just nine winners for him, at a 45% strike-rate.
In the rough, tough game of the Jumps, he bested champion Harry Cobden, to take the total with 180 last season but has already passed that for winners (182) and prizemoney (£2.2m).
⭕ 1.43 Ayr Diamond Geezer is a real test for Sean Bowen against a top weight, Saracen Beau, with a huge reputation but no particular place to go this season.
A good play area in the Betdaq Betting Exchange market at 2.7 Saracen Beau and 5.9 Diamond Geezer this morning.
I avoided the Geezer at right-handed Perth because of his tendency to go left but he won well there, the soft ground and today’s trip (2m 4f) spot on for him.
Follow Charlie won well here at Ayr in November but had been 24 lengths behind Diamond Geezer in his previous race.
Saracen Beau has changed stables, back and forth between the same yards, with Nicky Richards now entrusted with an incomplete education, hurdling to keep his novice status for chasing next season.
SO MUCH UNDER THE BONNET!
⭕ 2.43 Ayr Sanilam’s pedigree points to longer trips and Irandando Has is earmarked for 3m chases, would you believe. Yet they were 2m hurdle winners the last day, Sanilam here at Ayr.
So both seem capable of bringing stamina into play against Stede Bonnet for Gordon Elliott and Sean Bowen.
But Stede Bonnet’s form at Tramore was impressive. He gave 8lb and turned over a Willie Mullins odds-on shot by nearly five lengths, with the rest 24 and more lengths behind.
An ideal race for forecast bets with the favourite at 6.6 Sanilam and 18.5 Irandando Has.
SOLDIERING ON WITH SEAN
⭕ 3.13 Ayr Though Carismatic Soldier won well over the minimum at Chepstow (heavy), Olly Murphy insists on pushing him up in trip further and further.
It hasn’t worked so far but Sean Bowen, his Chepstow jockey, is back on board today, with cheekpieces applied to the Soldier after a 51-day holiday.
Buzz Iceclear, another who has taken a break since Ascot company was too much for him, is a dual winner over today’s trip.
Adveram likes it heavy but has never been able to put two wins together before.
LOCAL HERO’S TWO CHANCES
⭕ 3.33 Wincanton Collector’s Item won the Somerset National last January, tempting them to try the Welsh Grand National this time around but it was too much for him (9th of 10 to finish), despite the huge weight carried by the winner, Haiti Couleurs.
Now he is the Item giving lumps of weight all round, including to Largy Poet, tied on a 136 rating but claimed off.
As well as Largy Poet, local hero Paul Nicholls runs Take Your Time, who has won before when fresh and with the ground on the heavy side: CD winner two years ago on heavy.
Jupiter Allen is consistent but was well held over the Wincanton CD on Boxing Day, and a bigger threat to the Nicholls pair is My Silver Lining.
But the Tommy Whittle runner-up at Haydock and Berkshire National third at Ascot in the last couple of months seems short of speed for the turning Wincanton track, whatever the going.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
