SANDOWN FRIDAY OFF: Sandown’s all-chase card on Friday has been called off following a course inspection this morning. The card featured the Grand Military Gold Cup which might now be staged on Imperial Cup day on March 7.

FOUND A WINNER

⭕ 2.00 Kempton The Lost King doesn’t have many miles on the clock and is taken to follow up on his seven furlong win here last month when getting up close home in a blanket finish (just a length separated the first four home).

That was in a class 2 so this should be easier and the extra furlong should suit. He’s only been raised a pound by the handicapper and can halt the progress of hat-trick seeking High On Hope who is up 4lb and also up in class.

Popmaster was only a neck second to The Lost King last time and purely on weights and measures has a chance on reversing that form: however in his case he has yet to win over this longer trip.

SOMETHING HAS TO WIN

⭕ 3.45 Kempton The likely Betdaq Betting Exchange favourite Dust Cover arrives in cracking form (121) but this looks a lot tougher than the Southwell race in which he scrambled home by a head last time out and is now 2lb up in the weights.

With a little bit of a leap of faith I thought Something was interesting here for a WIN 20 return on my staking plan. He’s gradually dropping down the weights and hinted at better form at Southwell last time out on just his third start for Stuart Williams.

Whilst ultimately only fifth, he was prominent for much of the way in the class 3 race and now drops two grades down to class 5.

Must Believe has been placed in seven of his 13 all-weather races and should again feature now dropped back in distance having found 1m 5f too far at Chelmsford last time out.

MISSION IN CONTROL

⭕ 7.00 Newcastle Mission Command is overdue another success but now finds himself on a good mark and there was definite improvement at Kempton last month with a good third to Serenity Dream.

He steps back in trip to the minimum tonight but this stiff track should suit on just his third all-weather start.

Monks Dream is on quite a long losing streak and I think is in need of some help from the handicapper.

A bigger danger might be Castan who is consistent at this level and goes well here.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
