LIVERPOOL V MANCHESTER CITY

4.30pm We have a blockbuster from the Premier League to enjoy on Super Sunday! Liverpool host Manchester City in undoubtedly the highlight of the weekend on Betdaq Betting Exchange. This is a huge game for both sides – they both need to win too so the stakes couldn’t be higher. Liverpool are in a big battle for a Top Four spot and Manchester City are trying to keep tabs on Arsenal in the title battle. Arsenal are at home to Sunderland on Saturday afternoon, so it’s highly likely Manchester City will start this game nine points behind Arsenal. A loss here along with an Arsenal win on Saturday and the title race is over in my opinion.

We should have a cracking game, and it’s no surprise that we have an open betting heat. Liverpool are the favourites at 2.48 with Manchester City 2.94 and the draw is 3.85 at the time of writing. Both sides have dropped plenty of points already this season, so it’s quite easy to pick holes in them. They’ve both been poor at times at the back – City have clearly been better than Liverpool in this area but last weekend’s 2-2 draw against Spurs was a classic example of how City haven’t closed games out this season like in the past. Throwing away a 2-0 lead against Spurs – especially the way they have been playing this season – is unforgivable.

Liverpool have had plenty of drama off the pitch this season – Arne Slot has said some odd things in the press, and then we had the Mo Salah drama. Liverpool come into the weekend with the second highest attacking figure in the Premier League with an average xG created of 1.75 – only Manchester United have created more this season. They haven’t been converting those chances though, and they’ve also been very sloppy at the back. At times careless is probably the way to describe them. It’s easy to see why Liverpool aren’t in the Top Four, but it’s more of a mystery why City aren’t closer to Arsenal given they are scoring over two goals a game on average and conceding less than one. They are playing good football, but as I said above they just aren’t closing out games or getting over the line in tight spots.

It’s no surprise that we have an open betting heat to be honest – if anything I would have the market even more open and the 2.48 on Liverpool feels a little short. I couldn’t put anyone off a Liverpool lay from a value point of view as I just expect the game to be closer than those odds suggest. However, this game screams goals so I’m happy to look there – we have so much attacking talent on the pitch and then they’ve both been poor at the back at times. Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.61 and Both Teams To Score is a couple of ticks shorter at 1.55. I couldn’t put anyone off either bet, but I’m happy with a confident bet on Overs in what should be a very entertaining game.

The Striker Says:
Three points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.61 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
