COOKING UP A STORM

⭕ 7.10 Kempton Marengo Storm gets the nap vote to follow up on his course and distance success last month.

The Richard Hughes trained runner seemingly improved for that run with a good second at Windsor on his handicap/turf debut last time out.

He is preferred to the more exposed fillies – notably Moonshine and Angel Love who are both left with something to find after their respective latest efforts.

TWO RUNS IN 24 HOURS

⭕ 8.30 Hamilton At the time of writing Jet Warrior remains a runner here for this six furlong handicap and indeed top of the Betdaq Betting Exchange market after his third placed effort at Carlisle last night.

It was a good run but surely, ideally, he will need longer than 24 hours for a full recovery – especially given the ground is good to soft at both the venues?

Ingleby Archie has a more traditional 20 day break since his last run at Catterick when third to Evocative Spark. That was a good effort and should prove hard to beat off a 1lb lower mark given he is versatile ground wise.

Impressor is another running back into form. A soft ground winner here last September, he seemed to struggle off his elevated mark but it was much more like it with a course and distance third last time out when it was good and he will do even better on the more testing ground tonight.

I’ll cover both Ingleby Archie and Impressor for a WIN 10 return on Betdaq.

THE GREAT ESCAPE

⭕ 9.00 Hamilton Another race at Hamilton tonight where I’d like to take two against the field – this time in the closing mile handicap.

Mwafaq looks a little overpriced. His one turf win came on good ground but he handled good to soft ok at Carlisle and comes into this as one of the form horses having chased home Glorious Kitty at Ayr last time out. Useful apprentice Tom Kiely-Marshall takes a handy 5lb off.

I also want to be with Spirit Catcher who continues to do well but will be even better suited by this drop back in trip.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
