🏆 World Cup 2026 🏆

🇰🇷 South Korea v v Czechia 🇨🇿

3am (Friday) The 2026 World Cup is well and truly underway on WORLD CUP 2026 Betdaq Betting Exchange! ! Group A barely has time to draw breath. A few hours after Mexico get the tournament underway against South Africa, the other half of the group is straight into action when South Korea take on Czechia in Guadalajara in the early hours of Friday morning. With Mexico such strong favourites to top the group on their own patch, you’d have to say this is the game that most likely decides who joins the hosts in the Round of 32 – and both these sides know it. We have a very open and competitive betting heat here; South Korea are the favourites at 2.76 with Czechia 3.0 and the draw is 3.2 at the time of writing.

Mexico come into Group A as the odds on favourites to win it, and it’s exceptionally close between these two. South Korea pitch up at their 11th World Cup in a row, and they went unbeaten through AFC qualifying – 11 wins and 5 draws – but as I said in my Group A preview, that was at a fairly modest level and the step up here is a steep one. Even so, this is a genuinely exciting side. Son Heung-min (pictured below) remains the star and most football fans will know what he can do from his days at Spurs in the Premier League. Czechia are back at the World Cup for the first time since 2006, and they got here the hard way – two penalty shootouts in the space of five days, edging Republic of Ireland and then seeing off Denmark in the playoff Final. A dramatic run to get here.

It is hard to see this game being open. Czechia usually aim to grind out results, and it’s hard to see them setting up here in anything other than a cagey fashion. They are gutsy, organised, physical and an absolute nightmare to break down. It will be interesting to see how much South Korea can create here against a likely wall of defence. Another interesting thing will be to see how the altitude and heat effects the sides late into the game; obviously we’re so early in the World Cup – will we see plenty of late goals with mistakes as the players get tired? That might be an interesting in-running angle to trade as the tournament goes on.

WORLD CUP 2026 Betdaq Betting Exchange!

It’s very easy to see why we have such an open market here. It’s hard to split them on pure ability. In the match odds market, I couldn’t put anyone off the draw at 3.2; I would nearly have all three outcomes close to 3.0 here. However, this game absolutely screams one of those opening group games are nervy, cagey affairs, and Czechia are built to keep things tight too. Under 2.5 goals jumps off the page here at 1.73 – apart from Son I don’t see a massive amount of attack talent, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see a 0-0 here to be honest. That’s trading around 9.6, but I’m very happy with a confident bet on Unders.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.73 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
