🏆 World Cup 2026 🏆

🇦🇹 Austria v Jordan 🇯🇴

5am (Wednesday) We continue with Group J’s opening round in the early hours of Wednesday morning UK time on WORLD CUP 2026 Betdaq Betting Exchange! as Austria meet Jordan at Levi’s Stadium in San Francisco. This is one for the very early risers – or the very late finishers if you’ve stayed up for Argentina! It’s also another interesting game where you want to see what kind of levels the crowds are at; obviously there’s been a lot of debate around what FIFA were charging for tickets at this World Cup. This is a cracking occasion for both sides though whatever the crowd; Austria ending a 28-year wait to return to the World Cup, and Jordan making their first ever appearance at the tournament.

Given the gulf in class between the sides, it’s no surprise that Austria come into the game as the red-hot favourites at 1.36 with Jordan 10.0 and the draw is 6.0 at the time of writing. Austria’s return could not come at a more emotional time for three of the nation’s greatest ever players. David Alaba, Marcel Sabitzer and Marko Arnautovic – the first, second and sixth most-capped players in Austrian history – had all come so close across multiple qualifying cycles without ever getting there, and now, under Ralf Rangnick, they have finally made it. We all know Rangnick from his time at Manchester United; he told some truths back then that most United fans didn’t want to hear, and he has rebuilt Austria as a high intensity pressing machine. The qualifying numbers were impressive – they topped their Group but they did have a reasonably easy list of opposition teams.

The big team news is that Christoph Baumgartner has been ruled out through injury after a 17-goal season with RB Leipzig, which is a real blow to their attacking options. It will be interesting to see how much they can create against Jordan making their first ever appearance at a World Cup, completing an incredible journey through the AFC qualifying process – they finished second to South Korea in their group, above Iraq, and they were runners-up at the AFC Asian Cup in 2023, so they are a nation on an upward curve. However, obviously a World Cup is getting thrown in at the deep end – you have to say with the World Cup getting bigger; weaker sides are here and that’s true when it comes to Jordan. Granted, you have to say fair played to them for getting here – FIFA make the rules after all!

WORLD CUP 2026 Betdaq Betting Exchange!

But as I said in the group preview, it’s hard to see them really competing in this company – the whole tournament is a reward in itself for a nation that has waited so long for this moment, and the games against Austria and Argentina will likely be occasions to savour rather than competitive battles. It’s very hard to see past Austria here, but at 1.36 they are a price for an Acca rather than a straight bet – no prizes for tipping those odds so we’ll have to look around the side markets for some value. Austria’s defensive record means Jordan getting anything here would be a genuine shock, and I feel they can keep a clean sheet on the way to winning. Both Teams Not To Score looks at 1.85 looks good value. They conceded just four goals in the whole of qualifying and Jordan have nothing like the firepower to trouble them.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Both Teams Not To Score at 1.85 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
