🏆 World Cup 2026 🏆

🇪🇨 Ecuador v Curacao 🇨🇼

1am (Sunday) Group E continues in the early hours of Sunday morning UK time on WORLD CUP 2026 Betdaq Betting Exchange! Ecuador simply cannot afford to lose as they take on Curacao at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. Sebastián Beccacece’s side were beaten 1-0 by Ivory Coast on Matchday 1 courtesy of a stoppage time Amad Diallo winner, and with Germany still to come in the final round of Group games, this has quickly become a must win game if Ecuador are to have any real control over their own fate in this Group. Curacao even reaching the World Cup is a massive achievement for them, but they won’t be expected to get a point to be honest so while the pressure is on Ecuador, they should be winning here.

As you would expect, Ecuador come into the game as the red-hot favourites at 1.13 with Curacao 28.0 and the draw is 12.0 at the time of writing. While most football fans will treat this as a foregone conclusion, let’s not forget that Spain started 1.11 to beat Cape Verde and we saw how that went! Ecuador’s defeat to Ivory Coast was a tough start for them; they hit the woodwork three times and then obviously it must have been hard to take the finish – a 90th-minute Amad Diallo goal to end their 19 match unbeaten run and leave them with nothing. That run stretched back through a qualifying campaign built on defensive solidity, and the goals have not always flowed freely – now they basically have to chase the game against a side who will sit back. It is interesting to see how that works out.

Ecuador should have far too much for Curacao, but I wouldn’t be rushing to include Ecuador in a weekend Acca. 1.13 is a short price anyway. The score line against Germany made for grim reading at 7-1, but buried inside that result was a moment Curaçao will treasure forever. Livano Comenencia’s leveller on 21 minutes, cancelling out Felix Nmecha’s early opener, was the first goal this country has ever scored at a World Cup, and for a few minutes Houston Stadium belonged to them! Both Teams Not To Score is trading 1.42 here, so the market is expecting Ecuador to keep a clean sheet here on the way to winning – they will likely do that too; Germany play a very open “we’ll score more than you” type of game, whereas that is just not the style of Ecuador.

WORLD CUP 2026 Betdaq Betting Exchange!

From a betting perspective this is about as one sided as group games get on paper. We’ll have to look around the side markets for some value – the market is expecting Ecuador to control the game and Curacao not to score. The handicap is set at 2.5, and that’s a very even market. Over 2.5 goals is 1.48, which would suggest the market is slightly worried about Ecuador scoring loads. I would be worried about that too; as I said it’s just not their style to blow sides away. I do feel this is a game for small stakes, and I’m happy with a small bet on Under 3.5 goals at 1.79. Ecuador will win, but Curacao can keep the score line respectable.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Under 3.5 goals at 1.79 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
