🏆 World Cup 2026 🏆

🇹🇳 Tunisia v Japan 🇯🇵

5am (Sunday) Group F resumes in the small hours of Sunday morning UK time in Monterrey as Tunisia meet Japan on Betdaq Betting Exchange. This is now a must win fixture for Tunisia after their Matchday One mauling at the hands of Sweden, and with the Netherlands waiting for them in the final round of Group games, anything other than three points here likely ends their hopes of reaching the Round of 32. Japan held the Netherlands to a 2-2 draw in their opener and arrive in good shape, they’ll be expected to win here with Tunisia being the weakest side on paper in this Group.

It’s no surprise to see Japan come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.56 with Tunisia 7.8 and the draw is 4.2 at the time of writing. Obviously the Sweden game went terribly for Tunisia, hammered 5-1; that’s a hammer blow to the goal difference given they were likely to be always aiming for one of the best third-placed finishers anyway. They arrived at this World Cup with a reputation built on genuine defensive substance, having gone through CAF qualifying without conceding a single goal, and that record lasted all of seven minutes and from there it unravelled quickly. It’s probably a case of a defence that looked excellent against limited CAF opposition that has been exposed at the first time of asking against a side with real attacking quality.

You’d have to worry from a Tunisia point of view that an early goal here could open the floodgates again. That’s surely going to be Japan’s aim; and to be honest, Tunisia have to go for it here as well. Obviously given Japan are odds on, in betting terms a draw is a good result for Tunisia but in tournament terms, it leaves them on one point with a game against Netherlands to go. Not ideal! Japan were two minutes away from an opening day win over the Netherlands too. The point was deserved on the balance of play, and there’s plenty for Japan to build on. Netherlands finished with more possession and a better xG figure, but there wasn’t much in it – Netherlands went in as the favourites too obviously.

WORLD CUP 2026 Betdaq Betting Exchange!

It’s hard to see past Japan here, and I’d have them a little shorter than their current 1.56 too. The energy and organisation impressed me against the Netherlands, and if they turn up in the same form here, surely they can break through this Tunisia defence which has already been exposed. Tunisia know they have to throw caution to the wind, which theoretically opens up space for Japan in behind. Over 2.5 goals is trading 2.13 and I do feel that offers a little value too because I expect a more open game than those odds suggest. However, I do feel the Japan win offers the best value here, and I’m happy with a confident bet.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Japan to beat Tunisia at 1.56 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
