‘I’M ALL RIGHT JACK’ DAQMAN COUP AT 8.0: For the third time in two days, Daqman landed super-value BETDAQ bets in big races, continuing yesterday with Jack Dexter (WON 4-1 from 8.0) in the sprint at Doncaster. He also tipped the fourth horse, York Glory (16-1).

MASSIVE BETDAQ VALUE WINNER AT 12.0: Then the Saturday king landed the St Simon Stakes at Newbury with the morning outsider on the exchange, Hazel Lavery (WON 17-2 from 12.0), to make it just under 30 points profit on the day.

10.5 ABOUT AN 11-2 SCORER: This followed first and third with Daneking (WON 11-2 from 10.5) and Kiwayu, in another big-field handicap at Doncaster on Friday.

1.10 Aintree It was 8.0 bar one, as they got stuck into the Fred Winter third Vendor this morning. Wyse Hill Teabags withdrew from the pot and Son Of Flicka went out like a lonely dog on a raft to 12.0.

It meant that nine horses were better offers for a place (three chances) than Vendor was to win (one), with the obvious place bet Skint, a winner first time out in each of the last two seasons.

But Skint has left the Nicky Henderson yard, casting a cloud over his chances after twice being pulled up at the start of the year.

One Term has been out of the first three only once in 11 starts and the last time he ran over this trip he was beaten a neck, trying to make all on soft ground. If the rain has stayed away, he should give you a good run.

1.40 Aintree I can’t find a winning favourite in the past results for this, and For Two gets another knock in that I can’t find a winner that carried a penalty.

There’s talk of Moidore, a recent Flat winner on the heavy, but another front-runner, Handazan, might get away from them. He is rated a stone higher than Moidore on the Flat.

1.55 Wincanton (Desert Orchid Silver Cup) Though the BETDAQ total probability for offers in this race is only 109% as I write, six horses are within 1.7 points of each other in the market. Close one, then.

But trainer Kate Buckett hasn’t had a winner since Upham Atom won a four-horse race over CD in February. A similar spell in the doldrums also applies to the fortunes of Keiran Burke whose runner, Fortification, has never won off so high a mark.

Reach For The Top will have been ‘got up’ for this – he races only once or twice a year under Rules – but is 11 now, and I fancy one of the seven-year-olds will win it.

Rey Nacarado has had 12 straight wins and places when he’s stood up, and Minella Stars has never been out of the three in 11 Rules races and three PTPs. I’ll back one and save on the other, though those generous BETDAQ offers mean you could dutch them.

2.15 Aintree Forgotten Gold had closed down First Fandango in the market this morning, and has already been placed in a conditions chase.

2.50 Aintree Peter Bowen has won this twice in the last nine seasons: his Buachaill Alainn is up in grade and weight but, by Oscar out of a Le Moss mare, is bred to stay all day.

Eagle Rock’s third in the Cesarewitch Trial (2m 2f on the Flat), and his ability win a hurdle over the minimum, suggests a stayer with a turn of foot.

Lovcen has leapfrogged this pair into favourtism on BETDAQ, as I write, despite giving weight all round. Much depends on whether the rain arrives but the best offer over my cornflakes is 5.9 Eagle Rock.

3.25 Aintree (John Parrett Memorial) Some punters will want to catch the Colin Tizzard gravy train – three winners in a row yesterday – so Falcon Island (12.0 this morning) will probably shorten, though the trainer is worried that the horse might need the race.

Otherwise it seems to be a three-cornered contest, in which you have the same problem as in the hurdle: can the Graded-novice-winner Kid Cassidy give more than a stone to the in-form Silver Roque and Merrion Square.

This is another market flip-flop, with BETDAQ punters saying ‘no he can’t.’ They favour Silver Roque. I prefer Merrion Square.

By the way, Tizzard aimed high with Virginia Ash (2.30 Wincanton) last season and I marked the gelding down as one to follow this term, reverting to ordinary novice competition today.

Virginia Ash was 8.8 this morning, with a strong saver available about Paul Nicholls’ Richard Barber pointer, Comeoneginger.

Another tip. The Virginia Ash is a pub not a million miles from the Tizzard yard and Wincanton racecourse. That gravy could be flowing freely there tonight.

DAQMAN’S BETS
BET 2.6pts win and 3.4pts place ONE TERM, and 4.4pts win (stakes saver) VENDOR (1.10 Aintree)
BET 6.7pts win (nap) HANDAZAN (1.40 Aintree)
BET 4.1pt s win REY NACARADO and 1pt win (stakes saver) MINELLA STARS) (1.55 Wincaton)
BET 2.5pts win VIRGINIA ASH and 1.3pts win (stakes saver) COMEONGINGER (2.30 Wincanton)
BET 4.2pts win EAGLE ROCK (2.50 Aintree)
BET 6.6pts win MERRION SQUARE (3.25 Aintree)

Daqman’s bets are staked to win 20 points at the offer he spotted at the time of writing. So, if you divide 20 by his stake, you will always know what that offer was.
