PREVIEW
Atletico Madrid are the only La Liga side who have a 100% home record this season and they will be out to prove what a fortress the Estadio Vicente Calderón has become when they host Real Betis in the Copa Del Rey tonight.
Madrid are second in La Liga, seven points clear of city rivals Real Madrid, and ten points ahead of their opponents tonight.
Betis have been something of a surprise package this term and have won six of their last ten league games, but did lose the other four. Perhaps surprisingly, their away record is far better than their home one so they may relish the chance to come to the capital.
The visitors were beaten 4-2 at home by Madrid back in September when Atletico’s in-demand striker Radamel Falcao hit a brace and it’s hard to see them reversing their luck here.
Falcao has banged in 18 goals this season and it’s no surprise to see the Colombian being linked to all the top sides in Europe. He’ll be the danger again and can hit the socresheet in what is likely to be an open encounter full of goals.
