GOOD NEWS / BAD NEWS: No racing today with Gowran Park being called off but all systems go for the start of the flat at the Curragh on Sunday.

Dangerous words to say – but the Curragh are set fair for racing tomorrow with no inspections planned.

Meanwhille, Leading fancy Rich Revival is on course to bid for a four-timer in the Ladbrokes Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse on Monday week.

Trainer Liz Doyle is looking forward to saddling the lightly-raced nine-year-old in the prestigious handicap chase over three miles and five furlongs.

Rich Revival has won his last three starts in the style of a progressive performer and seems certain to get his favoured soft ground.

“He runs in the Irish National. The only worry we had was the ground, but that looks like it’s going to be OK as we’re washed out over here,” said the County Wexford trainer.

“Everything will be spot for him ground-wise as he would need the word soft in it to run.

“It looks like we’re going to get that, he has a lovely weight (10st 3lb) and we’re looking forward to running him.

“He jumps well and travels really well. That’s what you need for a race like that. A nice weight should give him a bit of a chance.”
